They don't make music like this anymore, I'm a 71 year old woman now, I have lost everything, even myself. Van helps take the tears out of my soul, I lost my husband of 45 years to a rare cancer my loneliness is unbearable, my husband and I had loved Van since we were kids. There's nothing better. Van Morrison's music helps the grief and tears flow, brings me to a higher place, God Bless you Van, carry on. ❤

When I was a child during the summer I would stay with my grandparents way back in Blount County Alabama. Mawmaw played piano and harmonica, every Saturday night her friends that played steel guitar and banjo and base fiddle would come and play until 4 or 5 am. They started out doing gospel but they kept drinking from quart jars and it would turn to blues. The memories of my childhood are Awesome!

I lost my wife and best friend Denise in 2001. We both loved the music of Van Morrison and indeed was one of the ways we first connected. This song reflects the contents of my heart and my longing to one day meet her again on the bright side of the road.
