We SAW the conductor pulling the passion out of the young musicians, and we HEARD that passion coming out. Amazing.

It is truly amazing , the passion, and beauty that comes from the heart of the Slav. The shear joy of life, even inthe face of incredible deprivation, and oppression by their rulers, they found beauty, and love. I am proud to share this blood. I pray that someday, we can put aside the petty politics of this insane time, and live as one people, and share this passion for simply living another day. Shalom.

Очень жаль. Музыканты хорошие. Но. Примитивно... Темпа и нерва нет в середине совсем. Очень надеюсь,что это не наша Академия музыки,а просто какой то Минский самодеятельный оркестр.

Waltz "Tosca" (Sorrow)by composer Mikhail Obychaiko (1862-1944). The main theme of the waltz was the melody, which probably served as the basis for the song "Po Muromskoy dorozhke " (On the Murom Road)

Many of us wish that East, West, North and South come together and create harmonious tunes. But problem is elsewhere. West consist of democratic countries while many countries are not. Public are influenced to vote that party who is mainly backed by 3 Ms -maximum money power, media power and sometimes muscle power. Again these are mainly backed by Corporates. So interests of Corporates are first and foremost preference and public interests are secondary bi-products - fall out of trickle down economy. Corporates wish to control everything indirectly from behind the scene. All are not the same. So, it remains our pious wishes !

I don't know why I cry every time I hear this song. It is just too beautiful to be a song. It is a Picasso except played by instruments. I can feel the vastness, strength and history of russian people in this song.

Typical Western music has never accepted the saxaphone, smaller versions of the guitar or accordian as instruments for classical composition. But here (minus the saxaphone) is a perfect blend (in combination and writing) of these types of instruments that speak to the very heart of this kind of music. Simply georgous!

There is also a movie with the same name: На муромской дорожке. The song was also used in the movie. Mikhail Obychaiko's waltz Tosca. The main theme of the waltz was the melody, which probably served as the basis for the song. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpe9YoqJmbdlq7c
