Why an American narrator???

At the moment in Germany the only thing that comforts me is books and when darkness comes I enjoy ACD read by Mr. Cumberbutch. I love it, thank you very much.

Superb narration, first-rate fiction by Conan Doyle. What's not to love? This is an extraordinarily fine mode of entertainment...wonderful fiction, excellent narration, over a dark screen. I am in the heaven of the learned man. Jeepers, Superman...

Last story cut short!

Lovely narration - why can’t all narrators be as clear and unannoying as this. No lisps, no strange ‘sss’ sounds, just clear words.

The narrator is the latest actual actor who played Sherlock Holmes, Benedict Cumberbatch, one of the top 3 actors who portrayed Sherlock Holmes in either a TV series or a movie. So I don't think that negative comments on the 'narrator' is unfounded. Excellent work as always Mr Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch)

The narrator has a wonderful voice and he's pitch perfect. I also enjoy Conan Doyle"s writing style. I put this on to fall asleep to and keep going back to it so i eventually get to hear it all over several nights. ♡

this narrator just doesn't have quite the right crispness and enunciation ... the diction tends to be soft and not edgy enough .... the best narrators are professional actors who have practiced projecting their voices with clear crisp pronunciation for maximum clarity into the further balconies

I tried listening to this a few times. The problem is the person reading the book is just loud. At some points he sounds like he's yelling or preaching, really projecting his voice. Which is not really that enjoyable to listen to when you're trying to relax.

Oooooohhh . . . I recognize that chocolaty voice of our glorious narrator. It’s ultra special.
