Thank you for this video. I love love love that you don't talk so unbelievably fast while you're talking. That impresses me as I am unable to follow along with tutorials/videos/workshops/etc. with presenters that talk a mile a minute. I truly appreciate your style. Thank you so much.

Dilip Sur said something similar in one of his life drawing classes...to move from studies to abstraction of them is important. I've done urban sketching for so long and I wanna move into something more, and I guess this is it! I'd love to see a video on you showing your collections vs your creations 😊

Hey man, this is late (lol) but congrats! I'm also in London and doing a few courses here and there with RDS. I hope its gone well, one of my near future goals is the Intensive but for now I'll just be sticking to the short courses haha.

Progress was very slow for me, there's so much to experiment with in terms of mediums and technique until you find a process that you love. It's also important to know that most artists will face rejection countless times whether it's from galleries or whatever, but not to let that hinder your creativity, progress, or sense of self worth. The reason for rejection isn't necessarily contingent on the quality of your work, it might just be that the subject matter doesn't resonate with a gallery or something trivial. I heard from Tim Packer, a Canadian artist, that there are art festivals/events that you can pay a few grand to go to and if the public loves your art and you have a reasonable supply, you could make 10-20k in a weekend, possibly even a sell-out show. Obviously the art would have to be "very good" and you could gauge this by reactions at smaller events before investing in a bigger art show/festival. It would be daunting to do one of those art festivals as an introvert, have you ever considered doing something like that? That's something I'm personally working towards.

Your paintings are not bad but it is visible that you are not yet very developed as an individual. Your paintings will mature as you work on yourself. You need to dig a little deeper. It’s not about composing a pretty image. It’s also visible that you’re changing stiles a lot from one painting to the other and that’s also a sign that you’re in need of trying different things because you didn’t find your lane visually-conceptually. A.k.a. you’re not mature yet. I even notice the way you talk in the video, even if you have a beard you give a feeling you were a toddler just yesterday. You still want the milk of your mother brest. Abstract but true. No offence. It is visible to me. My last point now. I agree with your art world sociological observation. And I would like to add my observation to that. The status quo are using gender identity and so on to shape society in a certain way and are pushing and instrumentalizing young naive folks with fake idealistic woke ideologies that are actually stabbing from the back the minorities themselves. More and more LGBT people have enough of this but they can’t do anything about it. Because the status quo is controlling everything and is grabbing by the balls and using those LGBT people who are selling out the whole community. Let’s keep painting still a pure discipline and let’s leave this nonsense to mixed media mambo jambo circus artists. Thanks!

Don't apply to the RCA their fees are a rip off. Try the Royal Academy of Art postgraduate diploma course which is amazing!

Do artists ever admit any art is bad? Because I swear to God I see people constantly praising splashes of paint on a canvas. Like how do you know what art to dismiss and what to appreciate if abstract art is literally just shapes and colors?

You clearly need to go around London galleries with myself and my mate, we literally go around cussing out most work and hyping up others 😂
