What kind of Post Search Schemas you used for the crouching and correct turn in place? My crouch is extremely buggy.

Make sure you are adjusting the characters move speed according to your animations, that was one of the reasons i had trouble figuring out at the start. Another thing i like to do with any motion matching is start with just putting the 8 directions movement and test first and then go on to add the pivot and other animations

Awesome tutorial. You kind of lost me when you made a mistake and did connect the right door. I saw you unclicked the connection but then it worked - but not sure why your door angle limits on the right door stayed intact. Also, how can I bring this into the sequencer? Thank you!

If you click on the variable on the details tab you will see an option Expose to Cinematics . If you enable that then you should be able to use these variables inside of your sequencer :)

In the free version you get QuickMagics skeleton format , you will have to retarget it to your own mesh then . That too works like a charm . Do use the link from the pinned comments

RPG? More like RNG game. I think this is more suited for quirky arcade games. Even then the change in health should transition slower. That way you should either rest or take the fight and again more for arcade and maybe platformers. All this will do is slow the player from engaging until they get a good health reading. It’s dark pattern.

An interesting Idea, I would set the UI like an ECG machine, I would also have some stats that smooth out the random range, say if the character is healthy, hydrated, and well fed, the max random range is within 10 - 25 % of total max health ( then negative modifiers could add in more random range.) also don't reduce max health in the way you showed when taking damage, you can stack your progress bars to show current health, and previous health, but in an RPG type game health and max health are governed by stats like Vitality etc. You can have different health regen, or first aid, consumable mechanics to health the player, or temporarily buff max health the shrug off damage.

Let me say it's a terrible mechanic that doesn't fit to an rpg game, equivalent in receiving random damage and random numbers can be very punishing or totally unrelated to the player actual performance and skill that almost every game designer is advise against them. Even d&d is moving towards a less dice driven design. Rather than creating random systems advised by chatgpt it's better to start with some game design lectures, because a lot has been discovered in order to make a game also fun to play

Remember that humans are attracted to shiny things. Also, once you figure it out, I would advise to take the time out, specificly for your GUI/GUI Animations, and notice how most game look genericly the same per genre of game, there might be different colors or icons, but not anything mind blowingly different and creative, and aslo do note, life's tough enough as it is, but some of us like a tough challenge. You are the designer no one else, it is your creation, we are only the rupees in the jars, but we don't get to tell you what to do for your game, that is not what rupees are for. One thing to consider, gamers play games to have fun, most games now adays are so realistic, and so focused on realism, and reality based logic, we aren't trying to play the game of earth life, we are trying to play the game that makes playing a game fun.

I'm really looking forward to finally being able to animate the spline shape. This is the basis of motion design. And there are no problems with this in Maya or 2D programs like After Effects. But it hasn't been implemented in Unreal yet.

In some cases ive seen it messes up the actors orientation specially if there is a spline component to it . Inside the editor if you try to rotate it world aligned it gives weird results , at that time this was the only fix i found so it has become a habit . Probably it has even been solved in these newer versions
