What tourists fail to realise is that Copenhageners bicycle not for leisure but for their daily commute. They're in a rush to get to work, to pick up their kids from daycare, to get home. They have absolutely no patience with foreigners trying out the bicycle lanes without knowing the dos and don'ts of the local bicycle culture (I'm not going to tell you. I'd prefer you just stayed at home). They can be rather rude if you get in their way.

As an "Amagerkaner" living abroad for a while, seeing my city as I usually do cures my homesickness more than I can explain, so thank you. My humble Christmas wish is a tour of Christianshavn, Holmen/Nyholm, along the water between Kløvermarken and Christiania; I miss this so much.

What is the average cost of a week's or month's shopping haul ? Like compared to back home (I assume Scotland).. Is it substantially more or about the same? I'm looking to move to Scandinavia so want to get an idea.. Yeah i'd love a walk-through as you shop and get an idea of how much an average shopping trip would be?

For a small household we budget around 5500 DKK per month (780 USD / €740). Food is super expensive here but the quality in most supermarkets is high. Even discount retailers have an organic range. I’ll 100% do another Danish supermarket tour with prices this time, I love seeing what other countries have in their supermarkets.

That would be awesome, yeah $780 a month isn't awful, it can get that expensive and more for sure in areas like SF and NYC where organic/natural markets can command an even higher price depending on the location, which i guess may be a thing only in the US (where shops say on the upper west/east side may be more expensive than places in other boroughs in the city.@@virtualtravelpod

Can anyone just walk in, or do you have to buy tickets? Like to just exprience the gardens part, do I need tickets?

It’s ticketed unfortunately - you can buy an entrance ticket and pay as you go for rides. Or buy a combo ticket that grants entrance and access to all rides. Worth every penny. They change the style of the park with every season, they have like really popular musicians playing concerts in the summer. Theatre performances. The food is excellent. They broadcast a live TV show every day there it’s that popular.

Ahhh wonderful summers in Copenhagen. How many capitals in the world have so much green in their inner cities and so little noise. To long ago since I rode through Assistents Kirkegård (cemetery) myself. Riding a little hour in the city and I am sure an active count would show more bicycles than cars. Gotta make a sensible human happy!

1. Thanks for the videos! Are you from Scotland originally? 2. I have been seeing these things that people wear around their necks and I'm dying to know what they are. You can see one at 36:57 on a lady in a black tank top walking with her white bike. They kind of look like one of those battery-operated neck fans, but maybe they're Bluetooth speakers?

Thank you! I love making the videos. And yes, I am from Scotland originally. The thing around her neck is an airbag helmet called Hövding, which inflates if you fall off your bike. They are pretty common in Copenhagen as people like balance style and safety.

Great video! I am curious: why did you use a DJI microphone if it's just the sound of the street? Also: where did you strapped the Pocket camera? To your chest? Thanks and keep up!

Great question. The DJI mic has a wind shield. I found after doing a test that (especially when cycling) it really helped with the audio quality. Regarding where I strap it. I bought a rucksack for running, they have little pockets on the straps that face out front. I just slide the DJI pocket in there, adjust the gimbal position and ride. If I’m walking, I just hold it in my hands.
