Great trailer Pencilish! Bjorn and Murphy are some of my favorite cartoons you've done so far. Any more cartoons planning in the future?

Article 1: GKIDS has distributed more than just the works of Studio Ghibli and other anime, they've also distributed other international animated movies, like the films of Tomm Moore and Cartoon Saloon. Also, to quote my comment on that article: "I kinda have mixed feelings about this. As someone who hates corporate acquisitions and someone who supports the work that GKIDS does for Japanese animation and the global animation scene in general, I can't help but be skeptical and worry about the repercussions of such an acquisition, but a part of me wants to hold out hope and believe that it'll work out alright for GKIDS and Toho." For the record, I have seen The Boy And The Heron. In both Japanese and English. Article 2: I love The Triplets Of Belleville, so I'm glad to hear Sylvain Chomet has being making another movie. Still need to see The Illusionist, though. Article 3: It's certainly a unique record that doesn't come about too often. I actually got to see The Wild Robot a couple of weekends ago. For a long time, I haven't seen a newer mainstream release in theaters since about 2017 or so, (most of what I've seen in theaters have been specialty events,) and this was a nice movie to break that streak with. Very beautiful and funny with a touching story. Got to meet Chris Sanders at last year's Lightbox Expo and bought a copy of one of his books on the making of Lilo & Stitch. Cool guy. Wish I could have done my Stitch impression for him, but it was so noisy in the exhibit hall so I wasn't able to. Also, Ansley, speaking as a classic rock/pop/soul fanboy, I don't like Pharrell Williams myself. I liked when he worked with Daft Punk, but that's it.

This sounds like it could be a neat addition. Seems like you and your daughter work really well together. So anyways, my response to the talk about each article: 1. I never got the deal with the Twilight series, never read the books, never saw the movies, I thought they looked and sounded dumb and I saw video reviews made by snarky Internet personalities that made fun of the movies and other stuff mocking the series back in the day, but I don't understand why an animated series is being announced now, over ten years since the last movie was released. Whatever the case, don't really care about it. 2. Despite how I feel about most modern mainstream animated movies these days, (I don't see very many mainstream movies in theaters now in general,) I'm looking forward to The Wild Robot. Obviously, because of Chris Sanders, but also because it sounds like a really beautiful, heartfelt movie and judging from the favorable reaction, it could be another recent Dreamworks winner after Puss In Boots: The Last Wish (another mainstream animated movie I still need to check out). 3. My brother and I are big fans of Coraline, and while we didn't see this new re-release, we did see it in theaters when it originally came out in 2009. I feel Coraline's recent success in theaters, as well as Fathom's annual Ghibli-Fest releases, should inspire more theatrical re-releases of older animated movies. I have not seen Inside Out 2 yet, nor Deadpool and Wolverine, (again, don't watch very many modern mainstream movies in theaters these days,) but yeah, I too worry that Hollywood will take the wrong lesson from the former's success and make more animated sequels than they're already making now as a result of that. 4. I've heard about what the animation industry in Japan is like, and I wish more than anything that someone would change these practices so that the artists and animators aren't overworked and that they're properly compensated for their contributions. I hear Kyoto Animation is one of the few studios in Japan that doesn't follow this particular model, the animators there have a proper salary and the environment is more worker-friendly, and the work they produce tends to be higher quality, most likely because of that. Still, considering how much of an international phenomenon anime and manga has become, these other studios really need to move away from those outdated practices and set up a new more worker-friendly model. It is sad to hear this sort of stuff is also going on here with that recent report about animators being overworked and not properly compensated on Inside Out 2. I remember similar reports came out surrounding the making of Sausage Party and Across The Spiderverse, and of course, the VFX industry in general.

WYTOO: "Why so little views! You’re doing such a cool stuff! Me: They have little views because they pissed their investors off big time. Never delivered what they promised except for some crappy comic. My uncle invested and he regrets every cent! Such attitude works in the beginning but people start noticing the BS and start not liking them. They even FAKED that their website was hacked, just to get people give them empathy. That's the news circulating here in some circles in Sun City. They faked a website hacking. Like how desperate and pathetic is that!
