Good vid but a question. shooting the officer in the bunker was not at range as he was range 0 but you used the ranged bonus to add 2 to your roll. for combined fire??

Thank you so much, this helps me a lot to understand the game since this is my first wargame. One remark though: recon 1 location at the start of the mission means that you can view the entire locations deck and pick a location, then shuffle the deck and put it back. That's what I saw other players do on YT and that's also what I understand from the list of keywords. Like in real life I guess when you recon the area and pick a location to go through. At 24:15 you do not seem to have a lot of location marker cards. Did you remove some?? Because I played this exact same mission and I had several location marker cards pop up with each and every draw. It was very annoying.

Are you playing with house rules? Because a player can ONLY lay down his/her books and/or runs when going out (or in the turn when you have a last chance because a player already went out)

Recon let’s you pick the location it is not random

The nice thing about Rift Cannon, is that they are not effected by Computers OR Shields. The only thing that they work with is extra Hull. So if you are making ships with Rift Cannon, you want to either: A) put them on expendable Intercepters, or B) put them on a ship with some extra Hull. If you do have ships with Rift Cannon, and no extra Hull, send them in with a single ship with no Rift Cannon. The self damage done by Rift Cannon, can only effect ships WITH Rift Cannon, so the odd ship will be immune. Nice playthru. I would be interested in seeing another game. Plants are not good in two player games by the way. Warm regards, Rick.

You are right, in the new edition of Eclipse, you can pick up discovery tiles as part of the Explore action, no need to drop a disk. Getting computers is really important, hitting 2 or 3 times more often is huge. Warm regards, Rick.

I would have picked up that cheap shield; it would halve the chances of the Ancients hitting you. Also, you had both sides with influence disks on systems with NO worlds. ASAP, you should use the Influence action to remove disks, so you are not paying to manage useless systems. The useless systems are killing your economy. Warm regards, Rick.

Hey, sorry to comment on such an old video, but I can't find many people making SDE videos, much less talking about how they print their own stuff. I ahve the 1st edition, base box. Just that one. I looked into printing the files for the 2nd edition from NinjaDivision so I can upgrade my game without buying anything. Do you have any recommendations for me to end up qith the correct size cards, manuals, tiles and tokens? I am not that well versed in these things, but something tells me if I simply download the files and print them on a bunch of A4 sized paper, I'd run into trouble.

It would have been helpfull to see what the enemy shooting you back looks like. I'm working through my first game right now and I'm stuck on the enemy attack step. Good explanations for everything else though.

At 30:35, should the ‘Flanking Att’ frees you both Move and Attack actions?

Thanks for doing the video. One problem with your game is that soldiers can only move one location per turn regardless of special action cards. You moved all of them two locations in one turn.

I don't watch battle reports regularly but I will say having a green screen area to show cards is awesome!

I noticed you were not drawing down to draw up. From the rule book: End of Player Phase To end the player phase, perform the following steps: In player order, each player may discard any number of cards from their hand and must discard down to their hand size (located at the bottom of their identity card) if they have more cards than their hand size.

Ghost spider does her best defending and and reacting based on defending. lots of combos using triggers. I really enjoyed the sinister six. love to see that.

@1:19:16: The Zealot does not move unless it's action includes a move explicitly. Therefore it's attack on Boots should be disadvantaged.

@1:29:15: Stone golem has permanent shield of 1, which you overlook for both attacks by Boots.
