In your opinion how does the Cirrus stack up to a Ken Smith?

@@D20band It doesn’t… but it is a great alternative if you’re wanting something that kinda emulates the Smith sound well. The sound and build qualities are night and day. You’re paying for the Craftsmanship and duration of life more than just the sound of it.

Killer tones. Where did you get the MTD pickups and electronics from? A bass player friend of mine has a couple of Z6s, and he's looking to upgrade the electronics to a Bartolini system. Thanks for posting.

@@teplachica I bought from customer already upgraded. I was told it had the same 535 pups and pre. By owning a 635 I know this isn’t true but these upgrades def improved the bass and I am satisfied overall with everything. It’s all Bartolini upgrades.

Something keeps me wanting one of those MTD’s but I know I won’t be satisfied with it being stock. Would you take the Sire M7 over the this MTD in stock form ?

Nope. The MTD is def a better build than the Sire even with the factory components.

I had a Tobias Standard 5 string three different times in my lifetime. I kept going back to it. 😂 And surprisingly they were different ones. Each one of them I converted from 3 knob to 5 knob with mid switch. Sigh. What a comfortable bass. 😍
