Im a premed student with a degree in Sociology, I respect your teaching but as a man who has spent a lifetime with women, I think you got her first expressions wrong. She was mad as all get up. and have you spent time with Black or Spanish woman? Please, I've seen that smirk on the lips man of times, I know what that means lol

I admit I learned a lot about micro expressions. It is a glaring assumption and to claim and name these emotions. This is the mistake known as prescribing. The skill to master in micro expressions is in the describing, identifying expressions within the context of the whole. Emotions like anger contempt as well as happiness all carry baggage. This skews the judgement of the viewer.

I don’t see the point in this, lacking context. Yes you’ll find a lot of people make similar expressions for the same or similar reasons, but everyone has their own “quirks”. You can’t really know without context.

Odd how I asked someone a bit of a rhetorical a question thinking that they would obviously say no. Although, their initial response provided a noticable micro expression and Freudian slip with partially verbalization of a "Yes!", then quickly followed by the obviously expected professional answer of, "No!". All of which was followed by me vocally stating upon how surprised I was to find out that my what was supposed to be just some random question associated with the overall conversation we were having, not acknowledging the truth of the situation unspoken.

This is not a very good coach. He is borderline condescending and just sounds like he is trying to be funny in front of the crowd. If he was more respectful, this session would have gone much better. Honestly, I see a lot of older coaches behave like this.

Don’t listen to this. Ppl with complex trauma overanalyze this stuff and no one can know what someone is Truly feeling. Unless you have experience with one person you know well. Any facial expression could mean anything. Avoid watching this crap

I'm now convinced you say anger too much. You are really missing intrigued. The guy was intrigued, and then he was surprised. His eyebrows narrow because he is having a realization. The realization surprised him. It was intrigued. And the "disapproval". You say anger when it should be disapproval ALOT .
