This was my favorite mall to go to when I was growing up in the 90s! Thank you so much for this walkthrough, it really brings back memories, especially during Christmas time, which was the time of year I usually went to this mall. I know this video is a year old but I hope it's still going strong and I hope to get back there again 🥺

Malibu jacks is single-handedly keeping this place open

I like this mall personally if i was local to the area of Springfield. Looks like it wasnt as busy. Hopefully it can survive these current times of online retail. Its a nice mall with plenty of stores i would shop in. Thank you for the tour.

I miss Aladdin’s Castle

We used to go to this mall but starting a few years ago I felt like I was the only Wh ite person in the mall so I felt uncomfortable and stopped going.

I lived in STL for almost 7 years(2008-2014) and downtown looked more lively back then, but nonetheless living there was a nice experience regardless of its rep. But wow watching this now, downtown looks a bit worn down. How was your experience walking around downtown?

I Never Been To Joliet Mall Yet

Y is the mall so alive and south county on life support..both are in good areas off highway access..just dont get it

Nothing like the old days, but not on its last days by any means.

How depressing... When I moved to Aurora 40 years ago, Fox Valley Mall would be *thriving* with shoppers almost all of the time. Now, it looks like a virtual ghost town. Gone is Lord & Taylor. Gone is Sears. Gone is the incomparable Marshall Field with its warm customer service, replaced by the cold New York-bred Macy's. People keep buying online and shying away from large malls, making wonderful in-person shopping environments such as Fox Valley Mall a dying breed -- a thing of the past, sadly. 😪

St Louis Galleria is not considered a great mall any longer by people who live here. Most people shop at Plaza Frontenac and West County Mall now. Too many safety concerns at Galleria and a lot of businesses have pulled out. 20 years ago, it really was something to boast about. Not anymore…😢

I grew up with Louis joliet mall

Ah, the Clark’s shoe store. They make the most comfortable shoes I think. I hope that mall has a DXL store. There’s a lot of big and tall people out there. People are getting bigger, not smaller. Many of these “trendy” shops cater to only cookie cutter size people.
