Help me to understand from where is the power to make the first tic. The clock is run out (the spring is unwinded). The clock is stop. Fork is not moving, balance wheel is not spinning (balancing). The jewel is blocking the escape wheel by the last beat of the system. We start winding the clock and the power from main spring starts to rotate the wheels one by one until the escape wheel is powered. This is the magic moment. HOW THE ESCAPE WHEEL MOVES THE FORK FOR THE FIRST TIC TO PASS THE ENERGY INTO THE HAIR SPRING IN THE BALANCE WHEEL WHEN THE JEWEL IS BLOCKING THE SYSTEM ?

The escape wheel moves one of the pallets in the lever (or anchor), if it's not one is the other. At that point the fork engages with the pin on the escape wheel on the other side of the lever. The balance wheel swings in one direction and that re-engages with the fork and swings in the other direction completing an oscillation, and it keeps doing so until the gear train is going.

Without power from the mainspring, the balance spring will pull the balance wheel into its center position. This will, in turn, move the pallet fork into its center position, where it is not locking the escape wheel at all. When the watch is wound, the escape wheel will push the pallet fork to one side or the other, starting the balance wheel moving again.

That's just one part of it. The motion works (the gears that run the hands) and the hands themselves are not part of the dial. The dial is just the thing you see behind the hands that has the numbers on it.

Aye I have a wrist watch and the cool part is that it’s see through. I got mine after I saw that my first grade teacher had one. The only thing that’s different between this animated watch vs my watch and my teachers watch is that all 3 hands are on the same gear. The second hand isn’t in its own circle. Another thing is that both of ours are see through and there’s this metal semicircle plate in the back surrounded by liquid and it moves whenever you tilt the angle of the watch. If some can explain to me what that’s for, that’s be amazing.
