Got my DV-Mega & Bluestack+ today and setup on android & pc, running md-380 here. My firmware is on v2.29 and I would like to flash to v3.06 I have looked all over the internet and youtube and still cant work out how its done. I have the firmware & X-loader. Windows devices shows up as com port 5 & 6 (dualband). When I power on dvmega and click upload it gets stuck on uploading for ages and nothing happens or it just says error com port etc. How on earth do I get it to flash ? Thanks for your help :)

Have you soldiered the link wire on the dv-mega, you need to do this to flash the firmware using the blue stack

I got it working Andy.....I picked the wrong com port and kept missing the bluedv timeout of one minute. I think we call this User Error lol :) Its all up and running, all I got to do now is work out all the reflectors etc :)

Wow so you don't need to be in range of a local DMR repeater I presume, this is totally via the brandmeister network ? Can you connect to any UK or worldwide repeater also via this ?

yes this works as a mobile hotspot, you can tether it via Bluetooth on a mobile phone and use it over the cellular network or Bluetooth to a tablet and use your home wifi, yes it works on the Brandmeister.

there is now a firmware update available allowing this combination to do dmr, dstar and now fusion as well, firmware is free of charge to download.

I have a wonderloop and I use it close to the sea,and if you can hear them you can work them.I am going to get the wonder wand widebander and see how well it performs.You cant beat QRP.Well done Andy.

In all honesty mate that was impressive but you really need to open the window even if yiu dont like the cold or heat. The glass does and will and is blocking off a bit of your signal it makes quite a difference. Btw i have the same radio and antenna.

Kandi Klover Beginner here: if the glass is not containing metal and performs as a dielectric, and since it is transparent to nm wavelengths (visible light), why do you think it becomes "opaque" to RF ?

Nice contact. I have both wonder wand and wonder loop and the ft-817. Great combination. I also used to be a Scooby man as well with a 52 Wrx wagon with prodrive kit. Gave up Scooby for my best hobby my 2year old daughter . Cheers Kev mm0kjg -2m0wrx
