This song is everything when you play it in the car on a nice system and drive ❤ It was a love song for his 5 year old son who died of a stomache virus. This song played at the end of most high school dances in the very early 80s. Teen couples would be hugged up swaying. ❤

This was actually a short story and written differently. The main characters weren't nearly as likeable. They were fueding, Also, the gal who was about to drink the blood all, the character is pregnant. You can view her holding her belly when Amos is at the cornfield. I saw this as a young teen back in the 80s and it scared me. Mostly the beginning. Courtney Gaines as Malachi, He was popular back in the day and that character was freaky.

12:13- "Martin Sloan, age thirty-six, vice-president in charge of media. Successful in most things, but not in the one effort that all men try at some time in their lives-trying to go home again. And also, like all men, perhaps there'll be an occasion, maybe a summer night sometime, when he'll look up from what he's doing and listen to the distant music of a calliope, and hear the voices and the laughter of the people and the places of his past. And perhaps across his mind there'll flit a little errant wish, that a man might not have to become old......never outgrow the parks and the merry-go-rounds of his youth. And he'll smile then too, because he'll know it *is* just an errant wish, some wisp of memory not too important, really........some laughing ghosts that cross a man's mind, that are a part-- of the Twilight Zone."

You're right about the subject, and it was considered kind of a daring subject at the time for these innocent looking young girls ( bear in mind they'd already been around for a year or two when they were on this show.) Some radio stations actually wouldn't play this record, though of course that can help make a record a hit.

It's The Exorcist. We watched it in the 70's in theaters without knowing much. People fainted and threw up. You guys have had 40 years or so of other horror films that followed, so you're far more prepared than we were. But you're still not prepared.

My family lived in Bodega Bay for many years. The waitress in the dark framed glasses was modeled after my grandma Elsie Steen, who worked at the Tides restaurant in the sixties. My auntie was a young girl then and said Hitchcock stopped his limo one morning when kids were waiting for the school bus, and gave them all candy. It's funny to me, everyone tells kids not to take candy from strangers, and they were taking it from the king of horror 😮😅
