Love these little goofy, cute geese. My family and I spent a week on the north shore of Kauai last October, and we saw them everywhere. Especially on the golf courses. From what I could tell, the golf courses provide a nice safe habitat for them to raise their young. Many of them walked right up on to the property where we stayed, and didn’t seem to mind that we were there. Completely non-aggressive, unlike their larger cousins on the mainland. Still, we didn’t feed them or try to pet them. Just enjoyed their presence.

First time on Big I, no nene. It became the running joke, there’s no nene 😅 last holiday I was on Kauai, nene all over. At Kilauea Lighthouse a family of nene chased me down to say hi. No, I did not feed them. Got a lot of great nene pix this trip, however.

We saw many during our stay in Princeville in Kauai. They would sit in the yard near the ocean and would come to see us at our dining table outside every morning. Lovely birds!

My family and I also stayed in Princeville, last October, and we saw lots and lots of Nene. They were seemingly everywhere in Kauai, especially on the golf courses. The courses seem to provide a nice safe habitat for them. Someone told me that ever since they were brought back from the brink of extinction in the 1950’s, their numbers have especially risen in Kauai, compared to the other islands. Anyway, they’re lovely, cute, goofy little geese. I hope their numbers continue to rise.

0:17 if the people of Hawaii on the big island never thought that they would see a sight like this then they shouldn’t be on the big island. Have a nice day.

This looks WONDERFUL! 😊 When I lived in the Bay Area, I went to a get-together ~ potluck style. I tasted the Chinese chicken salad and just had to get the recipe. To my dismay, she said it was a secret. I’ve never been able to duplicate her salad, but am really looking forward to trying this version! Thank you so much!!!

Admiral Nagano did not want to attack the United States. It was Yamamoto's doing. Admiral Nagano, while Yamamoto's superior, yielded to the strong willed and manipulative Yamamoto who had threatened to resign if he did not get his way. Admiral Nagano correctly understood that the United States would not declare war against Japan unless attacked. While it can be argued the attack on Pearl Harbor was dishonorable, it was not a war crime. The targets were only military, in response to a wide reaching embargo imposed by the United States. What the Japanese Army did in Nanking and many other places certainly constituted war crimes but it is very doubtful Admiral Nagano could be rightly held responsible for any Japanese war crimes of WW2. ..
