I think the dentist my mom took me to as a kid used one of these ! He also didn't use novacain , something about dads insurance wouldn't pay for it . Called it " experimental " ( this was back in the 1950 's small town texas ) . One time , the dentist gave me a dollar ' cause I didn't scream and bite him like other kids . Called me a brave little soldier . He didn't know it was out of spite I didn't cry and scream . I was damned ic I was going to let him see me cry no matter how much he hurt me . I think I was 6 or 7 at the time .

This not a Featherweight. Its a 127 with a crinkle finish. Probably from around 1942 or so. I have one just like this and it sews beautifully.
