I live in a place in the lowet 48 that doesn't get very cold but we get somewhere between 240 to 300+ inches of snow and it keeps out the riff raff.😊

This is stupid. It gets really cold and windy, but they don't get that much snow there. Places like Lake Tahoe and Mt Baker in Washington get tons of snow, but not Pinedale, WY...

Good evening! I am looking to plan a bucket list trip and would appreciate some ideas. I will be traveling from Northern California to Connecticut, starting in May, and I have no hurry to reach my destination. Once I make my way across the U.S., I will decide whether I want to return from east to west. Now, at 66 years old, my longest trip was to Paris, Texas, for Adam Sandoval's largest Harley-Davidson parade in October 2019, which aimed for a Guinness World Record.
@parcadv4194 күн бұрын
Hey Connecticut boy, That will be a great trip. Don't know when you plan on doing this. Summer is the best for weather in the mountains. Any other time there will be too much snow. Leaving any time mid June is perfect' We rode PCH from Huntington Beach to the Northern Redwoods. Depending on how far North you are. Canyon Lands National Park in Utah is a must. while your in Utah ride Zion, as well as the Natural Arches ,Bryce Canyon, Then you must Ride the Million Dollar Hwy ,the 550 into Silverton CO and onto Ouray CO. also there's Wyoming and Yellowstone. a must. South Dakota brings Black Hills .Mount Rushmore. the riding is mind blowing all of it. The Upper peninsula of Michigan and the Great Lakes is also amazing. Mackinaw city is a great town in that upper Michigan region . What you should plan for on a long haul motorcycle trip. Travel as light as you can. Only enough clothes for three days, You can do laundry. Get a battery pack for your phone, keep it charged. get a camel pack for water. Staying hydrated is so crucial for safety. you can mount it somewhere where you can drink from it while riding. some days will be rough. Stop every 100 miles regularly. fatigue will kick your butt if you don't. put ice into camel pack when you stop so your drinking cool liquids. not sure if this is helpful. hit me up with anything i can do. these trips are a lifetime changing ride. The mountains will be full of wildlife. start early early in the mornings and try not to ride into the dark. plan your daily route to end before dark. I would love to see your pics . Thanks for watching. I'm going to be posting every mile on that 8690 miles and 19 states. get your motors running .

@derektracy7126 Thank you. We were right on the west side. It shifted east just a hair, and we got spared any real damage. We suffered tremendously with Hurricane Michael on Oct 10th, 2018. We lived in Mexico Beach FL. And took a direct hit from the Eastside of the Eye wall. 155 mile an hr winds and a 22ft tide surge. Wiped Mexico Beach off the Map. We no longer live there as the result. . So even though we got spared. It's bitter sweet. Those poor people where it did hit. NC and cedar key. Probably more then you asked for but I really appreciate you watching and asking.

No loose clothing or loose flying things from a bike or riding to close to a vehicle because things they would just run over because of slow reaction time could shoot out from the back and literally take a head off or limb or could get caught in spokes or even blow a front tire or rear while interstate riding at a higher speed and if you have never blown a tire this way its not a happy ending, I've watched a young man wreck and go flying long ways through the air and an aluminum light pole went right through him and I turned around to find him hollering his legs were gone and used his arms to pull him self towards me and it was terrible to watch .

'Get back whips' look cool but I think their purpose is childish and they don't even actually do anything. Like, you think someone who's paying so little attention that they're running you over is going to stop and swerve because of a rope? And how are you going to actually use it faster than you could have just avoided the vehicle? Plus, I really don't like the idea of having dangly bits on my bike just begging to catch something. To each their own and I'll never judge anyone for having them but, they're just not for me. I'll do other, probably dumber, stuff to my old p.o.s. bike.

Those are "get back whips." They're not superficially attached to the bike. They pop of easy. They're there for those times when some asshole in a red t top tries to turn into the bike. Not intimidation. That car driver will think more than twice next time after the first time they have to replace their windshield because they got whipped by this biker. Yes. It's necessary.
