1974 frame is narrower than the other frame the axles came out of. Did you have to do anything with front axle to make it fit

Hey, question for ya. I am doing the same for a 79 F250 but I am wondering how you did the sway bar linkage. Just looking for ideas before I try to rig something up. Another question - should I wait to mount the sway bar until the engine is in place due to the added weight and the drop in ride height it would cause? I'm paranoid about mounting the swaybar without the coils being compressed and then once the engine is dropped in place, this might not sit nice anymore. Any ideas would be helpful - thanks.

Not sure honestly. I would say the trac bar is designed for the axle to move up and down to the frame. I'd honestly give Jacob with Battlebornbrakes.com a call or email. He designed the conversion brackets.

The I beam suspension brackets are deleted right? Im going to try the cummins motor mounts on diesel conversion specialist. It’s reserved for 4x4 trucks but since the twin I beam is gone. It might work now.

Yea the only thing on the front end of your frame that stays is the engine cross member. Please let me know if that works, I've wondered. Bumpsideaddict cuts one inch off of the passenger, welds it onto the driver side and then predrilled the holes on the passenger.

Can’t wait to do this! Starting with a 2wd 1969 F250. Going with a 5.9 cummins or I might just stick with the 390. Depends on how bad I want it done sooner than later. Interested to see how you do your mounts if you go with the cummins.

I'm planning on doing a cummins. Debating between a 12 valve or a common rail. The mounts are gonna be interesting but I've talked to a couple folks who've done it and I got an idea on how. Trying to find an engine rn

Also to make this easier, you could have gotten a chassis cab axle. All chassis cab trucks (ford Chevy dodge etc) service bed flat bed whatever are 34 frames.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR FHIS VIDEO! doing this swap to my super cab. How high does it sit? My 79 low boy sits 22.5” stock. My factory 05 has a block in the back so I would assume you’ll need a 2” block.

From the ground to the bottom of my doors it's 30". It's pretty tall, and looking at it right now, my driveway is an Incline so it's hard to tell and I want the leafs to settle a bit, but it's pretty close. Maybe that 2" block will be perfect. I thought about doing a cab chassis axle swap but didn't necessarily want a dually.

I’m just afraid of messing something up. Btw I don’t know what size your tires are but I measured with a 35”. Yours look to be 33? So it would sit about 9-10 inches over a stock low boy and 6 over a high boy. Very tall indeed, enough to clear 52” tires probably
