I just had my suregry last week. My septoplasty and all my sinus cativities touch. I faithfully use my medi bottle and saline but my head still aches and my nose is so dry. I also have antibiotic ointment i use twice daily. I finally go me a post surgery set bia amazon. I am now looking to add a humidifier.

Can nasal polyps shift bones in the nose? Can the bones come to normal after polys are removed..?

I’m 11 days post op and can breathe through my nose ok just very dry scabs and mucus inside .The problem with me is I can’t sleep properly still I wake up every few hours then sleep wake up again I never had this issue before I had surgery .I hope it’s not insomnia anyone else have this issue ?

Anyone here had trouble sleeping after sinus surgery? I've been having severe sleeping trouble 4th day after surgery (FESS, septoplasty and turbinoplasty) I am feeling very sleepy, as soon as I get from one state of sleep to the other my body is getting an intense jerk accompanied by a sinking feeling. I am very frustrated , exhausted and feeling defeated after an intense 18 months of long covid , I was hoping for things to get better after surgery and now I have this illness that I have no clue what it is or how to fix it. Side effect of general anesthetic? Side effect of taking tramadol? I was fine first 4 days and this started after tramadol. Are these hypnic jerks? The more I look it up, the negative content AI keeps presenting me is just taking ne to a very dark place. If someone has a similar experience, i would really appreciate some advice.

2 1/2 weeks out and seeing this video has got me somewhat optimistic, clear (not congested) most of the time except when I lay down for bed (even reclining) and then I'm completely "blocked-up" both sides 😡, Up and moving I stay clear 90% of the time and I have been using a Navage for nasal irrigation (2X a day) and the bloody healing tissue is being flushed, just thought I'd be clearer by now, am I just being impatient ???? and I really need/want some decent sleep🙏

Hey Doc, I am very concerned because when i had covid the third day i lost my smell and taste and over two years ago still have the same loss of smell and taste.. i live in new jersey and age over 62 .. I want to consult with a specialist and perhaps state department of health services about this rare condition.. it's starting to really bother me mentally and feel betrayed by DHS

The swelling and congestions are absolutely infuriating, right now I'm breathing far worse than I was before surgery. I am currently on my full second day without nose dressing (plugged nose) and the swelling / congestion are absolutely horrible right now. I had my surgery last wednesday and my nose dressing was removed last friday. It's still so congested that even washing my nose out with luke warm salt water has little to no effect. I'm starting to think this might be the worst decision of my life currently. I am going to call the hospital tomorrow to see if this is part of the natural healing process since it is driving me insane. i expected at least some air going through easily but not even that has been granted for me.

I had surgery to correct my deviated septum in 2016, along with a tonsillectomy and shortening of the uvula all at the same time. As a result, my quality of life completely changed for the better, especially my sleep quality and improved mental sharpness due to better sleep. Recovery takes a little time and people need to be patience. It doesnt heal overnight or in a week. Again, be patient regarding your recovery. You will get there. It will be 7 years on August 10th and every day, a thought goes through my head just how blessed I am that I made this decision.

My son catch a cold 2 months ago ,first start sneezing after running nose and start dry cough.After two months he still coughing his one side of nose is blocked a.ll the time and has clearing throat.He checked for allergies no allergy,he done ct and show hypertrophy turbinates. I don’t know what to do , that’s happened last year and he coughed 4 months,he use nasal spray it’s helps but this time doesn’t help.

I only knew I had lost taste and smell when I kept burning food. Yes very dangerous for personal safety.

what about side effects of antibiotics?

Gastro May be reflux , research waterbrash. If throat clearing improves when using antacids it may be treatable w diet modification and famotidine
