Dyrle Koolie was our mascot at Locke high school in Watts California, the best popper, he would dress like Michael Jackson, at half time keepnin mind Locke had the biggest baddest band on the west coat high school circuit, but at every school Dyrle kookie got chased after the halftime show, somebody got the foot, 8 was on the football team, so we miss majority of half time shows, one summer link up with humans some other cats from Locke we did thriller it was dope, shouts out to Dyrle kookie and Crew

This movie was filmed using lowriders, mostly from Salinas California Car Clubs. It was also filmed in the Monterey County in the neighboring City of Watsonville California located just a few minutes away from Salinas. The lowrider car clubs would meet and take off from the Sky View Drive In Theater in East Salinas right before they made these scenes. Back then it was Salinas Cruising that was like what you see here in the movie, Watsonville was chosen due to being a smaller city to film in. Not much has changed besides the new stores, and car models, but one thing for sure, this was RAZA UNIDA times, right before the street wars broke out. Great Film.

High school was a difficult time for me I was a foot shorter than the girls 40 lb overweight with crooked yellow teeth and a bad case of gas the ugliest girl in school would not give me the time of day so predictably I played with myself a lot and over time went blind
