I fully believe that the prohibition of morphine/opium/heroin is because these opiates treat such a vast array of symptoms more effectively than anything else, but cannot be patented. If opiates were freely available the pharmaceutical industry would collapse. Instead they outlaw the plant medicines which work, and replace with "safer" legal, vastly more expensive, and usually completely ineffective alternatives... The opium poppy is a universal medicine. It treats everything from a hangover to tuberculosis to diarrhea to crippling pain to coughing. It had to be demonised and outlawed to protect profits.

I’ve got basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and I am thin and otherwise healthy. I’m using 5-flurouracil cream. It is a chemotherapy drug, but it’s in a topical cream. Using the cream I learned I got BCC all over the place. (Applying the cream little spots lit up where it looked like there was nothing, and treating those more showed up, and on and on until both my arms are heavily covered with BCC spots, some as big as a dime in diameter, and blending together... its a mess, but not so deep it would be untreatable.) But I have read about some additional topical treatments and other possible treatments not involving cutting and grafting. The chemical DON was mentioned in what I read (a journal article). Developed in the 1950’s. But can’t be administered intravenously in high doses -- blocks glutamine but too hard on the body. They say low dose DON can help. But what about topical application of DON? That would work for BCC like 5-flurouracil as a topical treatment? (Surely.) But just now they developed a treatment drug that’s similar to DON, called DRP-104, and not toxic in high doses, because it’s absorbed by the gastrointestinal system at just one-eleventh (1/11) as much as it is absorbed by the tumor. But they said that blocking glutamine doesn’t work perfectly because cancer cells can make their own glutamine in small amounts, enough to keep going. BUT to address that they even came up with a “MEK inhibitor” called “trametinib.” But the DON and DRP-104 treatment to inhibit glutamine to tumors is paired with a chemotherapy treatment to specifically kill the type of cancer at issue. For me it’s BCC and with the 5-Flurouracil cream treatment - so that could be paired with the DRP-104 treatment plus the “trametinib.” (And all this done in a topical treatment method.) Some antiparasitic drug could be added in there it seems. Then add to that a low carb diet… Where can we get a clinical trial on this kind of a treatment? If I could get hold of some DON or DRP-104 and trimetinib I would mix up a batch of chemo drug topical cream cocktail, mix it with my 5-flurouracil cream. I think it would be effective to treat BCC. Could be the best thing yet. Maybe only monoclonal antibodies for BCC would work better? (Do they have monoclonal antibodies for BCC?)
