@@windeagle53 Hi, it’s technically called Ensolite. I believe it can still be found, it’s used in boats and a lot of other things.

It’s glued directly to the shell and acts as the insulation.

Which polyester resin filler did you use?

Hello! I really appreciate your videos. I just purchased the shell of a 13’ 1979 scamp with a dream, and little experience. I have some questions about reinforcing the frame of your trailer and attaching the shell: I understand that your plan uses fiberglass underneath to support the shell, did you consider welding more metal onto the actual trailer frame to support the free hanging corners? I’m trying to figure out if this is necessary (frame is in good shape/not bent) or will add a dramatic difference to the longevity of the trailer? what is the argument for fiber glass in this specific case? Any input or guidance is welcome, just wanting to start with a good foundation. Best!

How important is it sanding removing the gel coat before fiberglassing the wood spacer to the Boler?

I had a new 14' Starcraft made in '61 and the seats and transom were mahogany stained. The interior paint was light gray, maybe green on later models. No bolts from the seats protruding the hull. The seats in this boat are not orginal. The original seats have foam filled compartments attached.

Hello there, I have a 12 foot aluminum boat I have to build new seats for. I was hoping you would show the mounting hardware, I was getting nervous at the beginning of the video since the content seemed more to be about etching the boat surface. I'm glad I got to see the brackets near the end. The seats look really good. Thanks for sharing!

In the first video (in the boat videos) I show the seat brackets and how I turned them upside to hide them under the seats. These were original to the boat.

LOVE seeing you guys run the PPE again! I remember when sooooo many people on the old chatboards screamed that it would never run. It did. That it could never be driven. It was. That it could never make it down the track. It not only went down the track, but Marky got all four wheels off the ground, in anger. My favorite hot rod of our generation!

Fantastic video. This club was decades ahead of their time, and this unorthodox Show / Drag Car is one of the many reasons why. There were a lot of "Nay Sayers" back when the PPE hit the shows and internet. Some people like the owner/moderator of the Hamb said "It couldn't be done" , that "There was no way it could go down the Strip" . To this day it is proving the head scratchers wrong. Thanks for the update on this, Westcoast Johnny! Great video

My grandparents had this exact same waterfall, the only difference was that the lights were connected to a 12v transformer and the pond area sat inside a special tub which contained the water. The original lamp covers were colored plastic, held in with a snap ring, and the bulbs were 1157-style automotive bulbs. That large hole in the bottom allowed the water into the outer tub where the pump lived. I wish I could find one, great memories.

@westcoast_johnny7 ай бұрын
Hi Breanna, thanks for watching.. so the top of my trailer (white) is rolled and tipped. Using a small roller, the bottom green was sprayed with a hvlp paint sprayer. In my opinion the paint rolling of the top half was not only really easy, but the results turned out much better. I can walk you through step by step if you decide to paint. 👍🏼
