4:35 HOLY SHIT THAT WAS DIRTY. The fact that this AKI player turned her Nightshade's slow movement into an ADVANTAGE is SO COOL. In case you don't see it: AKI uses EX night shade while her opponent has their back to the other end of the map. Let's think about ryu's options: He CAN'T use an EX fireball or parry because he was JUST burnt out, nor does he have the meter to use his level 1 to delete the fireball. He's too low to block the attack due to burnout, so jumping is his best bet. But BECAUSE of the slow movement of Nightshade, Ryu is FUCKED because AKI drive rushed and used her medium serpent lash. Because Ryu HAS to jump to avoid it, he can: 1. neutral jump, and get fucked like he did in the video... 2. Jump forward and get fucked by her medium serpent lash 3. Jump BACKWARD and get hit by the fireball, which would remain on screen BECAUSE of its slow movement. 4. Jump foward over the fireball early, only to get hit by AKI's drive rush anti-air roundhouse. if ryu DID block the EX fireball and survive, it would leave AKI plenty of time to drive rush in, putting the Ryu at a severe disadvantage. *Holy shit.*

Whenever DJ throws out one of those 'Baby!' kicks by itself? ...he gets countered or hit afterwards. Since he has other kicks with similar range yet far less chance of a counter hit, I'm at a loss as to why people keep doing it like that. It's a decent combo finisher, but it's terrible by itself, from all that I've seen.

It used to be more safe, and it still is cool to abuse at the correct range or using it out of a drive rush to counter hit people trying to check it You can buffer lvl 3 behind it and it’s always a knockdown which is great for setting up DJ’s oki game and getting people pushed to the corner

It's safe most of the time, the spacing makes deejay want to do stuff after it and there's not much better option, standing HK is an alternative, but it's more unsafe and better as a whiff punish than a, poke

Psychologically, there must be a feeling of miscalculation for AngryBird and Tokido who have dumped Akuma and went back to Ken only to lose to a non regular user of Akuma as in the case with MenaRD.

Don't think they care, they play completely different on tournament and when they are "training". Those guys have a kinda of switch where they go from learning mode to serious mode. They would probably care a lot if that happened in a tournament for sure.
