Great pickups! Love the '56 Koufax. That's one of two I need for his run. Yours has really nice eye appeal. May I ask what it cost, as I'm currently in the market.

Great pick ups. I need a Rube Bressler for my Reds HOF collection. I also just started working on the Reds T206 team set, I currently have 4 of the 23 cards. So I can't give you advice but willing to listen any you get along the way. Good luck with your PHD.

Thanks! I have thought about approaching the T206 set team by team. Reds would be on the top of my list to start on after the Cubs and Giants

Thanks for sharing your progress with us David. At your age you should have no problems completing most of your hobby goals. Keep plugging away at it , it's not a sprint but an endurance race. Thanks for sharing some great cards 😀

Some fantastic additions David. Bressler got a chance to play under Matty's time as manager. I have to look back to see what their relationship must have been like. That Merkle addition is amazing. It's definitely something that fits the criteria of Mookie Chillson. Pinhole special :). What is your Phd going to be in? My wife just completed hers in American History.

I thought of that when I saw the pinhole card up for auction. The Merkle is one of my favorite cards from the set because of the story, so glad to have one that has some history with it. My PhD is in Biblical Theology.

Great cards David! That 56 Koufax has fantastic I appeal, congrats on finding a great example of a great card! There is a bar right by Wrigley Field named Merkels, after the famous “boner”.

That's awesome. I don't get to Wrigley that often, but I will have to check it out next time I am there. I was in Chicago a few weeks ago and went to the Billy Goat Tavern which was a cool part of Cubs history.

Great stuff, David. I also just picked up the '33 Goudey Herman - arrived today. Beautiful and underrated card, IMO. He also has some coach cards in the 50's with the Dodgers that I think are pretty cheap. Thanks for the video!
