Fabulous! We are going this year around the end of August. I just received my UAS-A1-A3 certificate from EASA. Will register in France before we leave. Looking to by the dji mini 3 pro as my first drone. Wanted to get some training even before I purchased a drone. I plan on using the drone in remote areas like you have, I may try to just film some towns from aloft at a distance to see them if allowed. Any tips for traveling with your drone would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing such a nice video.

Before going on this hike, I only did a single test flight at home. The DJI drones are incredibly beginner-friendly and easy to fly, so I wouldn't worry about having done enough training. As for tips on traveling with your drone, I would recommend sticking to the basics: always carry enough charged batteries (since strong winds can drain the battery quickly) and use a protective case or padded backpack to keep it safe during transport and the hike.

@@RyuFilm Had to watch this again! Have my M3P and love it. Ready to seek out the remote areas of TMB and shoot some cinematic footage to add to our GoPro video. Plan on doing very little editing, just trimming and joining of clips. Looks like the camera will do well for me, also have some ND filters to use. Thanks again for the nice footage.

Great shots! My wife and I are hiking this loop this coming summer and I'm debating whether or not to bring my drone. As I understand it, it's more or less legal in Switzerland and Italy but that it could get you into trouble in France so best to avoid it there. Did you have to deal with nasty looks from any other hikers or otherwise run into friction with either hikers or locals unhappy with the drone filming? Any feedback is much appreciated!

Thank you! I had no trouble bringing my drone along, and in fact, the people who noticed me flying it were very intrigued and interested and not annoyed. However, I did try to avoid crowded areas and mostly flew it in remote and isolated locations. The only place where I refrained from flying my drone completely was in Chamonix, where the local laws are more strict. Overall, I had no complications, so I encourage you to bring yours as well!
