Thank you so much for sharing this recipe. It sounds just like the soup my mom used to make. I will be making this very soon to have on hand in case things get crazy (which I imagine they will). You remind me so much of my mom (Lost her a couple of years ago). She was a seamstress her entire life. I remember her teaching me how to sew when I was little. And, I used to be a hair dresser. And even better, I have a fur baby named Lily. :) I love how you love your fur babies like I love mine.

You have made my day today, Maggie! You really warm my heart and gave me a great chuckle when I read this post. I know how hard it is when you lose your mom. I lost mine 13 years ago and I still miss her terribly. My mother was a seamstress all of my life. She sewed for the public, so I learned to sew at a very young age. I have been a hairdresser for over 40 years now. I celebrated my 40th anniversary of doing hair, March 6. This is really good soup, and I hope that you will give it a try. When my oldest granddaughter gets sick, she always wants my vegetable soup. Therefore, I always keep it on hand canned in jars. You can also freeze it. I prefer canning it in jars because then it’s ready instantly to heat and eat. I am assuming from your KZbin name, that you must have a pug. I absolutely love my little fur babies. Cannot imagine my life without them! My Lilly is the smallest of my four dogs, but she is the loudest! She is a miniature schnauzer and is very bossy and jealous of any attention that they may get from my husband or I. I really appreciate your watching my videos and hope that you will continue to do so. Take care and hopefully we can chat again soon!🥰

Perhaps cooking the strawberries in a saucepan with 1 Tablespoon lemon juice, 1\2 cup sugar, and 1\4 cup cornstarch per pound of strawberries, then grinding them and adding the cream and milk with a little more cornstarch. also putting some chocolate shavings on top would add some yumminess

hi, omg those peaches look amazing. I'm in Australia. I live in a regional farming town. We didn't have any local good looking peaches like these in our area last season. We had no local cherries at all available in our local store also a bad season. Some local growers said to me it was the reduction of the bee population which caused this problem of fruit shortage, not enough bees to do pollination. I can't remember the last the time I've seen such good looking peaches like these. So anyway, I went to another store in another town where they sell imported American peaches and Cherries so I got some there. The quality, size and flesh of these American fruit is so much better, they were perfect but of course they were way so expensive so it was a nice treat. Bees, saving bees and encouraging and improving the population of bees is a topic many have been talking about. I bet your canned peaches taste amazing. thank you

@@chris-8092 How exciting for me to hear from Australia! The peaches on my video were absolutely delicious. They were very firm and so sweet and juicy. Usually, when I get peaches from this particular place, they are softer and spoil faster. These were firmer than usual and just absolutely so good. My husband and I have bees. They play a very critical part in our Eco system. It is concerning to us how they so freely spray insecticides, which we believe is destroying a lot of the bee population. We do not have access to locally grown cherries in the section of the United States that I live in. A lot of them are grown in the northwestern part of the United States. This year we were able to get some of the best cherries that we have ever had. They were extremely sweet and delicious. I really appreciate your watching my video and more so the fact that you would comment to me. I absolutely love the Australian accent. You take care and I hope to hear from you again! I used the glass measuring cup because I wanted accurate measurements. Using the one in my canister is difficult to dip in and bring it out with it being filled accurately. @@randysookoo444 the jars just need to be clean. It is not necessary to sterilize them. The only reason I put the lids in boiling water was to soften the rubber ring so that it will seal without any problem. @beebahscountrykitchen8683
@beebahscountrykitchen8683 Ай бұрын
The problem is if you are canning very much meat in your soup, you run a risk of botulism if it is not cooked under pressure. I have a large amount of tomato in my vegetable soup, which is very acidic. That helps to eliminate some of the riskwhen canning with meat. I don’t use a lot of meat in my soup because of the risk of botulism. If ever I am in the least bit of doubt, I use a pressure canner. Thank you for watching and for commenting! Have a great day!🥰

I have never relied on pectin to set my jams. Once the sugar is dissolved into the fruit add a generous amount of lemon juice. Bring the liquid to a rolling boil and lave it like tgat for 15 minutes. Test the jam by putting a spoonful on a saucer which was in the freezer and cold. If a skin forms on it and when you finish it does bounce back it’s read to jar. I also use sterile jars and lids and never use a water bath. The jam will keep for a year once opened and refrigerated. I’ve made jam for 50 years for family and friends.
