Your cast iron pot is a chicken fryer... use a coating of lard on the inside of it before you cook with it especially the lid to keep it from getting any rust spots on it..

Interesting, i prefer doing all that by hand using smaller tools. This way i can feel how much gunk or "creme" as we call it, i want to remove.

Salt? On cast iron? Makes me think...rust....why would you do that? While the pan is still hot, go under hot water with a light scrub...reoil...and done. None of the waste of all that salt..especially that "expensive" canning salt. You do what you do...I'll save the time and money.

You should have. Done it facing with the bucket to the vehicle.That way, you hook up the chain and you lower the bucket to the level of the hook underneath the bumper.That way you don't bend the bumper up but yeah good job no problem
