So the abridged version of this is the Olympic games in itself is an IP, it is owned like the same way Disney ownes Mickey Mouse, Sega and Nintendo had a license with the Olympic games group to make games for them that the would get paid for to make and to have their characters in. But due to the low returns of the last few games which wasn't really anyone fault because covid happened and Nintendo made the Wii U and it didn't sell well, the return has not been good for the Olympid team. So they got greedy and are making digital maps to images and videos for people to buy and even worse designed games because the Esport game maker studio is more and more of a scam every year, we will likely see Sonic and Mario again one day once the contract the olympic team signed with thw new groups expire because this current idea will earn them no money or favors because the Esport company sucks and no on likes NFTs.

Jakks is sitting on MONEY with the IDW characters, Whisper, Tangle, Lanolin, Surge, Kit, Jewel, Belle, Mimic, Clutch, even variants like Dr. Tinker, Metal Virus variants of existing characters, they could even give us the Phantom Rider which would be super cool (tho Wave & Storm should come before him imo)
