During my working life I was fortunate to live and work in some wonderful places. In the mid 80's I was fortunate to live and work in Coober Pedy for 2 years. Even today I still rate Coober Pedy as the "greatest" place I have ever lived due to it's uniqueness. I lived under ground and worked above gtound. You mentioned "characters" in the town, well Coober Pedy was definitely punching above it's weight in that department. Have safe travels

Really? Did you watch the whole video? There’s pictures from the lookout and we did better than standing at the lookout by droning higher than the lookout could give as a view!!! If you expect every single piece of information and pictures we’d still be there trying to cover everything. Unfortunately we didn’t have 6 months to do this but feel free to send us your pics. Not sure how long you think a video should be but this one goes for 40 minutes. More than your average video on KZbin. We cover so many things of so so many interesting places in this area that I’m sure generally suits everyone. But I suppose some people just have to have something to say whether it’s good or bad!!! Pretty disappointing to read a comment like this when all you can talk about is houn pine near a chalet? Have you any idea how long it takes to put a video together not to mention the time filming and gathering information? I suggest you watch another channel.

Great to see you back, that's a tough gig staying there how relaxing does it look. We've never been to Lightning Ridge so would love to get up there some time, my 92 yo mum went on a tour and stayed at the Outback Resort and climbed the mounds she loved it, she is quite active though. Can't get over those sunsets up there bet it's a bit fresh in the mornings but nice days. Unfortunately our holiday has been put back as my wife had a terrible fall 4 weeks ago shattering her arm and shoulder and after a few metal plates,screws and pins they fixed all the broken bits so will just be doing the top of Vic Swan Reach, Bendigo then on to Bright for a week and up to Katoomba then probably home. Great video again really enjoyed the scenery some fascinating places. Any tips on things to see around Bright as haven't been for 40 years would be great. Thanks Brenton.

A bit of a windy drive but the views are magnificent. We stayed in Porepunkah at Porepunkah Pines caravan park. Lovely park with a bike / walking track into town. A lovely old pub to go for lunch is Happy Valley Hotel in Ovens. Bright Main Street is gorgeous and if you’re into easy 4wd (dirt roads east) the Buckland Valley has magnificent tracks that take you up to amazing views.

hey mate great cruiser! i am slowly doing up my 200 and i was wondering how the rhino goes out central with Roos and other wildlife. doenst look like youve been struck by anything. my thoughts on the matter are the bar should take most of the hit initially. and the radiator is protected somewhat by the lights. and with a lift kit the radiator should sit higher than the body of the roo? can you shed some light on this in your experience?
@lappnitup
@lappnitup Жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊. If you check out episode 53 we hit a roo!!!! It was a 6 footer and we hit him at 100k’s. Lucky we got him on the down hop or he would have come over the bonnet. Hi Brad, the reason we were stuck was because all those kids standing around had got bogged there earlier and left 2 whopping holes that we then got stuck in. It was sitting on the diff so crawl mode unfortunately wouldn’t have worked. We tried everything before being snatched. Had the trax on all wheels too but didn’t help 😔. Thanks Brenton, the Pajero Sport would be fine. With lowered tyre pressures you’d have no problems. There’s a few sandy parts but nothing really difficult. Thanks for that fortunately we are travelling with friends just think it's safer when your not that experienced in 4x4.

Even better if you’re travelling with someone else. Make sure you have recovery gear just in case and there’s also plenty of people that stop to help anyway. We got bogged on Fraser (next weeks episode) but it was going into the entrance to our camp and the young guys there had dug big holes when they were mucking around and of course we got stuck there! Around 10 guys came out of the wood work to help. We also had a fuel filter problem and broke down and heaps of guys came to our rescue. Lucky 2 of them were mechanics. 👍
