Keep making videos! I am so impatient to see how your work progresses! I would install at least 4 or 6 more panels (depending on your MPPT controller), the electricity costs will only increase in the future!

Thank you. Yeah that is the plan to add more panels. The electricity cost doesn't affect us since we don't have an electric connection. No electricity - no problem :D

Thank you. This is an anti-mosquito spiral and basically is sold in any supermarket here. You can buy it in Lidl or Masoutis. I also started to use an anti-mosquito spray later after this video. It was not enough to only use a spiral.

You're doing amazing job with your house! Just bear in mind that outdoor fires are prohibited in Greece and are considered a felony. You should ask local authorities to inform you if there is a period where you can burn brambles and branches

Thank you. Yes we know, we never burn branches or coal when it's not allowed. The fire hazard starts on May the 1st in our area and this was recorded in the end of March.

Thanks! It's coming good! We just realized that if we don't make the roof now, we will suffer from heat the following summer. So it needs to be finished quick. Yes, it's somewhere on Sithonia :)

Excellent idea for insulating the roof from the brutal Greek sun. Not a typical Greek installation using this German/Russian method.

I enjoy watching your renovations. To find the level of gas in the cylinder pour very warm water (not boiling) down the side of the cylinder. Then move your hand along the wet area till you feel the change in temperature. The cold area is the gas.

Thank you! Sounds like a nice lifehack! I wonder if there is a way of checking that "remotely", I mean without going to the gas storage place. I can only think of a manometer installed near the heater.

Thank you! No, it's a usual electric fridge. It doesn't consume a lot of electricity. We use bottles for cooking hob, for water heating (when there is not enough sun) and sometimes at winter for heating using ceramic indoor heater.

Και έφερα στην Αλεξάνδρα έναν κουβά με νερό για παν ενδεχόμενο :) Όταν έρθει το καλοκαίρι, σίγουρα δεν θα κάψουμε τίποτα στην ιδιοκτησία, είναι πολύ επικίνδυνο. Καλό Πάσχα!

Since i saw the fires in your proprerty i wonder if you know of the obligation of the owners, (otherwise penalties)... (It concerns built-up properties located in forests, woodlands, peri-urban greenery, declared wooded, reforested and grassland areas, as well as within a radius of 300 meters from the boundaries of these areas. It also concerns buildings within parks and groves of cities and residential areas.) ... will have to submit the Risk Assessment Form and the Technical Report with their accompanying data, through the authorized professional - administrator, by May 10, 2024, while the Responsible Declaration of implementation of the fire safety measures by June 10, 2024. Those new fire protection measures (with high cost of preventive measures) have ignited "fires" among property owners, making those properties increasingly unprofitable!

Thanks for letting us know. Yes, our neighbors also told us about that new law but in general everybody feels very relaxed regarding this. They think it will be postponed because even authorized professionals have no idea what they need to do and how. Also the timeframes are really inadequate.
