Can we stop doing this? The identity stuff, it's got to stop. It's looks silly and actually belittle her achievements.

They don't want to panic the public so they won't tell us if it was going to hit us but keeping a close eye on what the elites are doing before 2029 will tell us the truth.

There’s an estimated 10^25 planets in the universe. We aren’t the only people living in it. 10^21 could be friendly as all heck. The remaining ones could destroy you on sight. As humans, you KNOW we will reside with the minority and shoot first, ask questions later. Until we advance to time-lord levels of tech and can travel the universe puffing out our chests, we will have to leave this planet knowing before hand, we’re going to be HARD nerfed in this new environment. On Earth, we’re the apex predators. In space, we could very well be a field mouse.

How about a sequel where the Eridians build a ship and take Rocky, Grace and some Ambassadors from Erid and go back to Earth. _That_ would be cool.

Our magnetic field gots us but may cause power grids to fire up, and our phones will blow up or your phones not to blow up put them in foil and last but not least if you’re outside, cover yourself from burning skin or run into a building or a car and now if you’re in a car, turn off your engine so the solar flare don’t mess with your car not but at least we have to be prepared

I don't know how you can defend NASA as an innovator. The SLS was built on 1970 shuttle technology and was more of a full employment policy than innovation. It was sold as a evolutionary rocket that was low risk (yet it has taken 10s of years for one launch) You can never plan on a launch every year or two to drive down the cost. That makes the fixed infrastructure cost spread across few launches. Launching hundreds of times a year allows SpaceX to have more data and learn more (hence making launches safer). I am afraid NASA has lost it way (and will never find its way back).

Notice every times you see the moon during the day, it remains that same shape that night. How can that be?
@gerigarcia52394 күн бұрын
I feel the exact same way. If it’s reflecting sunlight then wouldn’t the light that’s reflected move constantly as we are constantly in motion supposedly? I would think even through the course of a night the light would move right? Not be one way one day and another the next? Strange

Because the Sun is not orbiting the Earth! We are changing our relative position slightly as the Earth rotates, but the Sun - Moon distance is still much larger than the diameter of the Earth.

Not correct. Everything in our universe time, space and matter all started with the Big Bang. If anything else exited, time, space or matter, it is not part of our universe.

It's a pity that the mirror was made smaller. I know that HWO is a combination of the HabEx and LUVOIR missions, so it is a compromise to create such a telescope at all, but I know that the Astronomers called for such a telescope to be at least 12 m in diameter. The diameter of the mirror will certainly affect how many planets such a telescope will characterize.

I suspect the entire assumption behind the Dyson Sphere idea is flawed. Advanced civilisations will become more efficient and their energy consumption requirements will reduce, not increase. Similar to the way that we've seen electronic computers become physically smaller as their capabilities have increased. Sci Fi authors who were contemporaries of Dyson used to envisage huge computers, perhaps eventually utilising the power of entire stars. Isaac Asimov's 'Multivac' for example utilised huge quantities of energy guzzling vacuum tubes ! 😂 Instead, computers have become tinier and tinier, even as their performance has risen. Advanced civilisations will most probably have very power efficient and highly distributed technology. The last thing they would build or need would be a so-called Dyson Sphere.
