Scent boosters are endocrine disrupters ( bad for all humans) and killing all sealife. Sort by light and dark colours. Always wasch on a long hot cycle for towels ; the oils and dirt from your body that is on the towels will only losen up be removed if you use heat with detergent. Min 140•F. Detergent is offcurse necessary. Fabric softener is not needed, the dryer will make them soft.

I turn the washer on first and add my detergent to HOT water on heavy duty, let the water mix with the detergent so it’s no detergent stains on my towels. Hot water to get rid of bodily fluids and smells

@@lashaysadventure I have always washed my towels in hot water. In my opinion it gets rid of all the dead skin cells, soap residue and any other germs or bacteria from being used. I like the way they smell and feel after.

You're definitely doing it wrong. Detergent ALWAYS goes on the bottom and scent boosters are a waste. You should also be using a sanitizer for a superior clean. And towels should be washed in the highest temperature possible.
@lashaysadventure8 күн бұрын
Well, I wouldn't say wrong... My washer doesn't have a drawer for the detergent, so I just pour it right on top. I have always been taught that colors are washed in cold water and whites are washed in hot to lift and remove stains! I'll try it your way next time and see which way I like best 🙂

When I used to have a fully automatic washing machine I used to do the laundry every Saturday. Since my washing machine died and we got a semi automatic till we are able to buy a standard washer again it has been every day. I like to devide my loads between whos laundry I'm doing first. Wait till is dry ( only have drying room for small loads at a time. Small appartment) then once I have the dry load folded or in the middle of folding I start the next load that way by the time I hang the new load to dry I wont have to worry about having a mountain of dry clothes to fold and put away

I'm East Coast Florida. Glad your ok. We too had some cleanup with debris but thankful we still have a home and our lives. I do believe prayers helped. But also believe we've been given many, many warnings to do something! Hurricanes are getting intense, more unpredictable and frequent since the year 2000. Sure there have been strong ones prior that were not expected in the way they came in. But wisdom has increased since then in meteorology and still, Milton surprised them as far as strength. Those warnings as in, "you made this mess, you clean it up" We need to protect our planet more.

Drying and bleaching naturally in the sun, for days if necessary is what works for me but definitely hot wash too. I find that 30/40°C does nothing for stained items. Obviously, not everyone has the luxury of outdoor space to dry linens. Our weather only permits for half the year anyway.
