what camera are you using?

Majority of the fishing videos I am using the gopro hero 11. Hunting videos, I'm using the Canon XA60. I'm looking to add additional cameras this year.

Thanks for the response. I self film and know the difficulties. I was seeing what your camera operator first saw as you state. I once missed out on a buck, filming group of doe and focused on them, and first saw the buck lurking in brush when reviewing video after season.
@HodgesOutdoorsАй бұрын
Yeah man, I missed out on a really good buck while self filming bow hunting this year. I drew back and bumped my camera. I managed to get back on the buck and he stopped with a 4 inch tree across his vitals. Love but hate it!
@michaelleist8993Ай бұрын
It looks to me that there was another buck in the brush, in video prior to you taking shot at buck you got. Can see the rack after camera zooms in, then moves left to center deer you shoot at. At 8:18, just to right of dead tree center of frame appears to be a light colored rack???
@HodgesOutdoorsАй бұрын
I believe that was a stick. My camera man first zoomed in on that. Being behind the camera is more difficult than people think!

Ceasars creek is my closest lake (20 minutes). I spend LOTS of time out there targeting blue cats. 2018 the ODNR put 20 per acre (totaling roughly 58000). After 6 years, They are finally getting some size to them. I caught probably 6 this summer that were 15lb+. Lots in tge 4-8lb range. I haven't been out since ctober but they should be biting all winter. I actually caught my biggest bass of the year in october on a topwater bait 5' from the shore.
@HodgesOutdoorsАй бұрын
The crappie fishing has been awesome the last couple of years. I've caught some decent bluecats out of their nothing huge. The saugeye fishing has been tough lately. I wish they would stock walleye.
@harleywayne6456Ай бұрын
@HodgesOutdoors if you follow the discharge creek from the dam it will eventually meet the little Miami river. Excellent fishing where the two come together for Saugeye. There's a little park on waynesville road with easy access for bank fishing or you can float the little Miami starting at the covered bridge. I've always done really well right where the two streams come together.

@@Justin-pq3rqyou have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. My 350 took down 10 deer in Michigan this year and I watched them all go down. I use the 170 gain Barnes vortex solid copper and the blood trails are great. My daughter got her first one this year with the same gun and it didn't go 50 yards.

Try the Bear Creek ballistics 350 legend ammo. All cooper 140 and 160 grain. Fast rounds! You’ll get a blood trail!!! Nice Buck, big body
@joshua_JАй бұрын
Just go with the Barnes all Cooper bullets and you won't be disappointed. The Barnes vortex bullets have been a 100% recovery rate on over 20 deer this year including a 140"+ 8 pt . For those wondering yes we are using damage permits for the does.
