Contemporary garage band at the time. I loved the hammond organ, still do. Best gig I ever went to in early 90s, blew my mind . I saw all the popular bands around then.

Any band that has one absolute master of their craft in it invariably ends up sounding like them - the Charlatans sound was dominated (in the best way) by the sound of Rob Collins Organ and vocal harmonies.... he was an effortless musician the way Reni was in the Stone Roses

Rob Collins lost his life not long after this. This band means so much to me. I’ve every album and single of theirs. My favourite band by a country mile and they never dissapoint live either. Their first album Some Friendly is a masterpiece ❤️🇾🇪

Giving you hugs mate. I can't explain why I love them so much. It's a bit Jon Brookes, it's a bit Rob. I think it's mostly Jon Brookes for me. A totally incredible drummer.

Still better than 99.99998 of the stuff out there now. Look up the word "Groove" and The Charlatans are there.

I remember this night. Cracker. Went clubbing after, beers/bush/whizz, some keen ladies, then train home come morning.

Love that early 90’s baggy style guitar solo, reminds me of Mock Turtles ‘Can You Dig It’. I love that sound, even if it went out of fashion pretty quick!
