If you brought me this truck to evaluate, first thing I’d do is invert the subs, the box is 3.70cu (before displacement), tuned to 33hz. Next I’d grab my Oscope and reset everything at your headunit to flat, and also set your subsonic to 25, as the the F.s per the T.s parameters for the sub is 33hz also which allow it to play lower. My AB XFL 10’s at 1500rms each, required 2.5cu ft each when ported ! inverting would help out greatly …. Just my 2cents. Oscope is $35 on Amazon and will save your gear bro. How would you compare the deaf bonce 6x9’s compared to the deaf bonce 6.5’s?
@leebooker61382 күн бұрын
The 6x9’s definitely have more bass than the 6.5’s. When it comes to words and high range freqs I feel that the 6.5’s perform better but the 6x9’s overall are louder, which is how it should be since they’re in the front stage. These speakers can take some power. I haven’t had one issue with performance. They are great overall, better than the Rockfords I had before. Give them a try.

My honest opinion…. It’s the alternator. I had same sound with my car after I swapped alternator. Once I switched back to my old alternator sound went away. The only thing I can think of is try switching alternator belt size again and see if that helps. If it doesn’t the only choice you have left is to contact the guys you bought your high output alternator and see if they can do something for you. I know the sound comes on and off but Do you hear it when you put your foot on the gas pedal too ?! Good luck my brotha! Hopefully 🤞 you get that fixed !
@leebooker61387 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. Wow, 😮 you think it would be the alternator? It’s in and out. The old belt and alternator did not make that sound. I do not hear it when I put my foot on the accelerator. I will listen for it next time. I do have another belt to try, so that might fix the issue. If not, I’ll contact the company and see if they can give some suggestions on what it might be.
@PRINYATIP7 күн бұрын
@ Im kinda scared that I’m thinking it’s your alternator . I think it has to do with your alternator pulley where the belt goes around. I only wish you the best of luck seriously! Hope you figure it out. Not sure if you have a volt meter in your car. Because I remember when that noise came on. You can see my voltage drop quite abit when the noise came on…. Anyways good luck 🤞
@leebooker61387 күн бұрын
@ yes I can see it drop and stutter for a small bit but then it revs back up and the voltages comes back to normal and more, I don’t know if I should just live with it.
@PRINYATIP7 күн бұрын
@@leebooker6138 if your voltage drops when you start to hear the noise it’s your belt. The tighter the belt is you might not get that voltage drop. Then again if you over tighten it you might snap your belt overtime. For the noise you’re hearing I’m pretty sure it’s your new high output alternator pulley. If you can live with the noise then maybe you might be okay but I think at least you should contact the guys you bought the alternator from to see if they could do anything. Or check out an alternator shop locally to see what they think. I’m pretty sure it’s the same issue I had. Unfortunately I had to swap alternator.

Over-excursion, subsonic not set properly? Maybe something hit the subs more than likely. They only have 17mm of XMAX and when they hit their limit you’ll know because the dust cap hits the center pole and the coil former hits the bottom of the magnet. They’ll make a loud popping sound then you need to immediately stop. My money is either something hit them or they were already damaged when received or damaged on install. I have a set of these going on 9 months they are great subs when tuned properly. Box should be at least 4.6 cubes tuned to 30-32hz, subsonic should be set to 24-25 hertz.
