My Grand Daddy served on the USS Wesson DE 184 Cannon class WW2 . Im from Alabama but wife has family in up state NY , Hope to get up there and see this grand ship someday.

Nice Video! My neighbor's brother Frank Slater was on the USS San Francisco CA 38 & was killed on it & the USS Slater DE 766 was named after him. He mentioned how the whole Slater family went to christen this ship.

my family lives in New Orleans, and every summer we cross this bridge. It terrifies me but it's a good memory of seeing my family. I wish we could go more often.

not a smart move shooting this video up close, there was a lot of debris that they would have tripped and fell on, that is the reason for the fence around this site, they must have climbed over the fence

did this person work for the construction working on this demo or were they trespassing, this videographer was putting their safety at risk shooting this video, if the company sees this video, they could easily press charges against them, what if they had gotten injured?

This was the OLD BRIDGE! Katrina wiped parts of the Slidell-NO one out completely and it was rebuilt. The new bridge is not as narrow.

That is a pretty good short cut if you're trying to get to New Orleans from the middle of i-12.
