Thank you for the wonderful video of Oradea. I was delighted to see the cathedral, which is also the resting place of King Saint László of Hungary. It is a joy to see the care taken to preserve and renovate the masterpieces of Hungarian architecture, especially the Art Nouveau buildings. I can only congratulate you on the work you have done. Köszönöm a csodálatos videót Nagyváradról. Örömmel láttam a Szent László magyar király nyughelyéül is szolgáló székesegyházat. Öröm tölthet el azért, hogy oly gondossággal óvták meg és újították fel a magyar építészet remekeit, különösen jelentősek a szecesszió jegyében felépült épületek. Csak gratulálni tudok az elvégzett munkához. Mulțumesc pentru minunatul video despre Oradea. Am fost încântat să văd catedrala, care este și locul de odihnă al regelui Sfântului László al Ungariei. Este o bucurie să vezi grija cu care se păstrează și se renovează capodoperele arhitecturii maghiare, în special clădirile Art Nouveau. Nu pot decât să vă felicit pentru munca pe care ați depus-o.

Hermosa ciudad , con una belleza muy diferente de la que tenía en mi infancia , cuando toda la costa estaba bordeada de chalets de estilo. La codicia inmobiliaria la transformó en esto, pero no dejó de ser bella .La ciudad feliz .

@@CitiesWalkingTours FYI, this city was built by German settlers, long time ago when Transylvania belong to the Hungarian kingdom. Along many other cities in Transylvania, they brought a lot of manufacturing to this region. In many cities Germans lived until the Second World War, but left Transylvania after the war ended. Just look at the demographics of these cities. It changed after Romania was formed due to the systematic repopulation of Romanians settlers brought over from Valachia and Moldova. Just look at the Romanian villages around each major cities. All were created after 1918, while Hungarian and German villages existed for centuries. Another proof is : look at the churches in these cities. The really old ones are Roman Catholic or Protestant while the new ones built at the beginning of the 20th century are Greek catholic or Orthodox.

Your video hit home. A stunning example of what Bucharest might have been without the devastating architectural destruction inflicted by the Communist regime. This ‘Little Paris of the East’ still features several areas with unique charm and elegance, occasionally even evoking some quiet Monegasque streets, especially when compared to the ongoing decline in Western capitals. Thank you for these beautiful images. They brought back memories. If only these buildings could share their stories...It may sound surprising, but for an increasing number of Westerners, Eastern Europe is gradually and steadily becoming the New West.

Brasso a Magyar Királysághoz ezer évig tartozó erdélyi szászok fővárosa volt. A szászokat a magyar királyok hívták és telepítették le Erdélyben még a XI-XII. században. Előjogokat kaptak a magyar királyoktól cserébe a keleti határok védelméért. Mikor Erdélyt a románokhoz csatolták a románok megkezdték a szászok elüldözését, amit a kommunista hatalom fejezett be, A románoknak semmi köze Brassohoz, ahol csak szász és magyar történelmi emlékek vannak.
