Nice! This was also the 2006 Collegiate Nationals DH track. I raced it - was in October. There was snow at the top and then desert at the bottom! Crazy experience.

Mannnn I trail run this and it's loose as hell lol camera does the loose and steepness no justice. You made it look way too easy. Going to have folks getting out there and end up walking their bikes down 🤣🤣 same with eliminator! What tires and tire pressure are you running on these trails?
@nickbacik26316 ай бұрын
haha ya dude the camera makes it look so easy, I was running the specialized cannibals at 28 psi in back and 25 psi in front, in the eliminator video I was running maxxis assegais at the same pressure. Thanks for the comment dude I appreciate it!

Ah, and then I read the description. Yes to devastator and yes to almost KOM. So good dude. Ho sketchy is this trail really? It looks fast and loose but not overly chunky or full or massive drops or tech. Looks easier than national in a lot of ways, and a lot more fun. Is that true or false? GoPro effect?
@nickbacik26317 ай бұрын
Definitely steeper than it looks on GoPro, I think it’s a lot more fun than National just because it’s a good bit steeper and is downhill almost the whole way down. I’d say it’s pretty similar to National in skill level to ride but more scary to go fast on. Definitely check it out it’s one of my favorites at south mountain!
@healingenso79234 ай бұрын
@@nickbacik2631 - yeah. This is my local hiking trail, about 1/2 a mile from my home. it's called the Devastator for a reason - it goes vertical part way up). I did talk to Phoenix City - Parks Dept recently and it's going to get some signage at the bottom and be renamed the Highline Connector Trail (The Highline Canal is 200-300 yards down 32nd street and I hike up from there). It's a good workout hiking up, then I normally trail run down to Javelina Canyon & loop around to complete a 10K.
