I may not be of Hawaiian descent but my heart and soul are there. I'm now a 60-year-old man, and I cry every single day for not being able to go back home. I lived 16 years on Oahu. My three children were born at Kapiʻolani Medical Center. My late wife's ashes are in ocean at Waikīkī. She was a renown scientist, and she worked at UH Mānoa (Cancer Center). She passed away in 2013. My kids and I miss our home so much. We miss our people.

Rare and magnificent album with the reunited original I Kona with Ledward Kaapana on lead guitar, Alika Odom on rhythm guitar and Bernard Kalua on bass, and all three sharing lead vocals and vocal harmony. For 1998 about three years (1998, 1999 and 2000,) they performed weekly at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel and traveled to Japan. This I Kona combination first recorded in 1978 and was first called "Na Leo Kani O Punahele"(also the title of their first album) before adopting the I Kona name for their second album, "Ka Lua O Ka Manawa."
