Has anybody else noticed that the phone is very rapidly heating up after connecting to the Grip's Bluetooth? I'm using the Galaxy S22+ and charging the phone is set to "off".

its been two years now. all remarks made by the reviewer would make this product a perfect travel companion, and yet in 2024 there's still no update, or v.2. on top of that I've heard buyers experience pretty poor customer service from the company. Don't know about you folks, but this product is pretty much dead to me. I'm surprised it is still being sold on apple's site.

They did come out with another version that works with MagSafe. Not as safe as holding phone with the hinges but definitely a smaller footprint.

@@italiangspot Thanks, I've just watched your review on that one too. Looks promising but I would still not order it unless hands on try. I also have a question how does that button click feel? You seemed to imitate the click but never took a picture with it. Would appreciate you feedback on that. Otherwise great reviews. Simple, honest and straight forward
@italiangspot9 ай бұрын
The click feel is not premium like a DSLR Camera but more plastic feeling like u would feel from the many BT shutter remotes out in the market. Does provide click feedback and the picture/video is taken with the release not with initial press of button. You might experience a minor delay, like u do with all BT remotes, when the shutter fires. If that time accuracy is important to you.

I take my iPad Mini out of it's current case on a regular basis when attaching to it to my car mount when I use it as a GPS. How easy is it to remove the iPad from the Zugu case & do you think that the attachment points will endure this type of use over time? I ask because my current case faired well considering "years" of use - but the camera corner cracked open & needed some tape to keep it in tact.

How is your iPad mounted in car? Magnetically or with the clamp design? If it was me I would opt for a solution where the case I have chosen also works with the clamp mount, so i would not have to take off and on everyday.
@TerryManitoba Жыл бұрын
@@italiangspot THX for the suggestion - But there are really on car mounts that work well with any kind of case. I've been using iPad mini as a GPS on a car mount for almost 10 Years & a bare tablet solution works best.

@@TerryManitoba I hear ya. This case was coming to my mind as it was thin but might be too thick for your mounting solution. What mount are you using in car? @@italiangspot I have been using a Ram Mount system - a/w a holder meant for the Mini. When I get the Mini 7 I will likely put 2 metal thin rings on the back of the iPad which will mate to 2 magnets (just like a MagSafe mount) These 2 rings are very thin and will not interfere when putting the iPad in a case. (I tested it on my current Mini) On ring hold the mini on the car mount just fine but 2 will be better.

@@italiangspot "A review that I posted a few months ago" The large variety of productivity/entertainment uses for the Mini demonstrates how versatile it can be for so many people. Master of Nun - But Good at a lot of stuff - Fine by me!!! I bought an iPad Mini 2 Cellular 10 years ago. I do not browse with it - I'm an adult - so I use my 14" laptop to browse and an Apple TV for viewing. After 10 years - I use my Mini almost exclusively when I "TRAVEL" - to do the following: (otherwise it sits in a drawer) 70% - as a GPS unit in my vehicles on a RAM mount - the best GPS ever. That's after over 150K miles of road trips (FYI - lots of pilots use the Mini for realtime in-flight information)- around town my iPhone does GPS duties 25% - as a Sidecar or mirror screen to view video paired with a M2 MBA 4% - as an eReader 1% - the odd miscellaneous task. This may change with the pencil I will likely buy the new Mini 7 when it comes out @ year end. The Mini is simply a great portable high performance device that sits between an iPhone & MBA M2 as a complimentary but not essential device for me.

I purchased this case after buying the Mini 6 for work. I am in manufacturing companies almost everyday. Flawless case, great for taking notes in the field either with the pencil or typing. I store the pencil in the side so it is always charged. Has never fallen out. I couple this with the Paperlike screen protector.

The biggest unprotected area is going to be getting the majority of the dropped scratches because it sticks out the most...
@italiangspot14 жыл бұрын
@dbbattle i would say that u would probably get away with taking it off once and then reapplying it. It is best to heat up the skin with a hair blower to make it easier to take off. It wont probably look as good as the first time u apply it but def doable. Its prob best to keep your battery cover and just give back the replacement battery cover .. so that way u are just taking off the small strips on the side

2) The very slim area between the battery cover and the side pieces are sooooo slim that most people could not align it properly and the pieces would be so slim/thin that they would peel off over time. With the pieces that we include and properly installed and heated, nothing should come off. Different phones have different coverage, some more thorough than others.
@italiangspot14 жыл бұрын
The folks at Phantom Skinz saw the review and this is what they stated: 1) The reason that we have a small gap in the side strips is that the pieces do/can be stretched. They can be stretched to match perfectly. Go ahead and lift one and try it. If you need to warm it up it will stretch much easier but you also need to make sure that you don't rip it.
