Can you come to Sweden? Jazzclub Fasching in Stockholm? I saw Jimmy Smith and Jimmy McGriff in an late night jam session there way back in the 80S. I love the B3 Hammond. And Jeff Hamilton is one of my favorite drummers.

Appropriate setting is appropriate considering that John Coltrane recorded the original version of this in Rudy Van Gelder’s original studio, which was his parents’ living room!
She does the bass line with her left hand, right? Keeps time with her feet?

How does she do the bass line? Left hand? Pedals? She uses both, just looking at other videos.

Wow I love her playing. I found out about her playing only recently unfortunately! I've enjoyed lots of jimmy smith, johnny hammond, lonnie smith, jimmy mcgriff. its nice to see that someone is still carrying this amazing tradition on the B3...They should start making B3s again it's my favorite instrument and i'm not even a musician!

Love watching this before starting work in the morning whilst sipping my double espresso - sets me up for the day ahead!
Love you on the Hammond, however I would not gig with the A-100 unless you have planters in the back to hid the internals… An A-105, C-3 or B-3 should be utilized for stage work! We musicians know a Hammond is a Hammond and they all sound great, but aesthetics are important. Jazz is classy. The guts of the Hammond facing the audience was distracting and took away from your vibe. These comments are referring to performance in the big room with the covered Steinway and the audience.

Lou Donaldson loves playing with organists and he has his pick. I'm so glad he found Akiko Tsuruga on her way up! Since has become as start in her own right, leading her own groups!

Lookup her history and her back catalogue. The answer is yes, she’s legit.

Thanks. The venue looks more like Ridge Hill shopping mall in Yonkers, NY than Cellar Dog in NYC. Also, I think the tune isn't "Undecided."
