firing the covenant carbine, not the infinite one the old one, gave me the same dophamine that firing a garand does, the work the same way, and sometimes when i reloaded i would call out "ping." in reference to the tried and true M1 Garand.

Coasts aren't the best farmlands? I know your Washington pals only grow potatoes and apples, but in California, the entire central half of the state is nothing BUT farmland. California provides the most farm grown food for the entire Western half of the country. It has nothing to do with the coast, but more to do with the environment. California is arid and has rich fertile land, which mind you, most of Sanghelios looks exactly like California and Nevada. It's just desserts and mesas everywhere. Meanwhile Washington rains so much that hardly anything can grow there without drowning.

It’s weird to me that Chief was 41 when Reach fell. I always assumed he was younger in the books, because everything was new. When I read the fall of reach, I think he had JUST gotten shielded armor when Reach fell.

Before this information came out, I knew it was just a lapse in writing or a result of the story changing between Halo 2 and 3, but I used to imagine Truth’s shift in personality was due to 1) addressing humans instead of the covenant, so he brings out the fire and brimstone, and 2) him slowly losing his mind as he realizes he’s backed himself into a corner. He has to fire the rings and risk the great journey being false, or face the possibility the covenant would learn he’d been lying to them all along.

The Halo series should've been about the nearly 30 years of Blue Team lore we don't get to see between 2525 and 2552. What were they up to in the year 2537? What about 2540? The Human-Covenant War was raging during this time. Instead we got a soulless non-canon corporate money grab so we may never know

This was explained in Halo 4, The Librarian seeded the eventuality of our making the armor and AI. So the similarities are expected, because we were literally designed to make them. And the Librarian based it on their own tech. So it should have been obvious to everyone why they are the same.
