I fear that we no longer produce nor have men like this in our military.

It is so very sad to see courageous soldiers like these legends fading away and become shells of the men who faced their enemy and did not flinch. So sad.

I don't believe we have enough men in our Army anymore of the caliber of General Moore and Command Sergeant Major Plumley. If we have to go to war we will regret that immensely.

It is too bad we are lied to about the reasons for going to war. It has noting to do with spreading democracy, it is all to do with toppling their governments and putting in yes men to usher in the new world order.

I had a BN commander in the US Army in Berlin who got a battlefield commission in Vietnam he was a excellent commander and I learned that from my BN CSM the our BN commander had served under Hal Moore as his aid when he was a 1st Lt thus it explained everything to me he retired as a O6 35 years later we still talk and he's just as humbled as he was then he has 3 silver stars and 3or 4 tours in Vietnam as an enlisted E-6 to his battlefield commission. He was a old paratrooper from the 101st Airborne Division before Vietnam and during.

Disgusting. Plumley faked his service record and Moore either fell for it or knew it and perpetuated the lies. Don't take my word for it, it's out there, just Google it. Let the scales fall from your eyes. The Army and all DoD is corrupt and does whatever bullshit our corrupted Government says for the money, the power and the prestige. VN was and is a National Tragedy and Ia Drang was a meat grinder that accomplished nothing but getting a lot of men killed, FOR NOTHING, which is not heroism, not honor, but STUPIDITY. Until this real lesson of VN can be known and faced up to by Americans, all who died in VN will have died for nothing. NOTHING.

@@seancrowley1065 As a matter of fact I did 20 years. Did you "serve"? Did you put up with or even reward people lying like Plumley did? If so, you are the problem, "Brother."

What's out there? One bitter mans half ass research that doesn't prove anything. They named a jump school after Plumley who served 33 years and then volunteered at an Army hospital for another 15. Plumley's reputation among his men can not be argued. He was awarded the Dougboy and is considered a legend by everyone....except you and Brian. The Army investigated the matter and decided his legend and service far outweighed the discrepancies. Hal Moore considers Plumley a National Treasure and the Army is only renaming Ft Benning for Hal and his wife Julie. So good luck with your smear campaign, thanks for your service and look into some anger management.

My gosh, I know I’m one. “You are in front of a great soldier.” I’m one of what I’m about to say. Soldier is the same as a gymnast. To a child. I also drown to understand. That soldiers and athletes are on one I the same, yet the soldier is superior…. For the simple fact, that he provided your ability to be an athlete.

With a battles like what took place at XRay and Albany, every soldier that fought there has a little bit different memory of how events unfolded. It’s such a shame we didn’t get SM Plumley’s perspective of how everything unfolded. That would’ve been incredibly interesting.

I couldn`t agree more Niel as a Brit it is comforting to know that we have men of this standard at our sides. My Father served in The Merchant Navy during The War, he Took part in The North Atlantic Convoys going up to Murmansk and Archangel in Russia and he would turn in his Grave if he could see the state our country is in Today. God Bless these fine Men of Honour and Values 🙏.
