There are places I'll remember All my life though some have changed Some forever not for better Some have gone and some remain All these places had their moments With lovers and friends I still can recall Some are dead and some are living In my life I've loved them all But of all these friends and lovers There is no one compares with you And these memories lose their meaning When I think of love as something new Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I love you more Though I know I'll never lose affection For people and things that went before I know I'll often stop and think about them In my life I love you more In my life I love you more

Madison reminds me of Jeff Buckley in that her vocals and writing are so mesmerizing that most people don’t notice she kills it on rhythm guitar

[Verse 1] Looking out the door I see the rain Fall upon the funeral mourners Parading in a wake of sad relations As their shoes fill up with water Maybe I'm too young To keep good love from going wrong But tonight you're on my mind So you never know [Verse 2] Broken down and hungry for your love With no way to feed it Where are you tonight, child You know how much I need it Too young to hold on And too old to just break free and run [Verse 3] Sometimes a man gets carried away When he feels like he should Be having his fun And much too blind to see The damage he's done Sometimes a man must awake To find that really, he has no-one So I'll wait for you, and I'll burn Will I ever see your sweet return Oh, will I ever learn? [Chorus] Oh lover, you should've come over Cause it's not too late [Verse 4] Lonely is the room, the bed is made The open window lets the rain in Burning in the corner is the only one Who dreams he had you with him My body turns and yearns For a sleep that won't ever come It's never over My kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder It's never over All my riches for her smiles When I slept so soft against her It's never over All my blood for The sweetness of her laughter It's never over She's the tear that hangs Inside my soul forever Well maybe I'm just too young To keep good love from going wrong [Chorus] Oh... Ohh... Ohhhhh... Ohhhhhh... Ohh..... lover, you should've come over Yes, yes, I feel too young to hold on And I'm much too old to break free and run Too deaf, dumb, and blind To see the damage I've done Sweet lover, you should've come over Oh, love well I'll wait for you Lover, lover, lover Lover, lover, lover, lover, lover, lover Lover, lover, lover you should've come over Cause it's not too late

Everyone wants to cover a Tom Waits song. He is only the greatest songwriter of the 20th century Very few succeed to capture it. This one is exceptional. Quite a feat to do it right. Im moved and impressed.

Beautiful arrangement of a perfect song but a few bpms too slow. You can hear MC moderating get flow and breathe in the littlest bit of a self conscious way!

Brilliant!!! And that is a term I never use. The harmony the picking the genuine salesmanship of emotion. The Beatles would not come a close second to this version. If I were an agent I would snatch you both up in a heartbeat. I'd love to hear a version of "Good time Charlie's got the blues" or 5 days in May by Blue Rodeo. Just suggestions. Amazing honestly.

I don’t know where to start. I ran in to this out of the blue today on tidal. I only heard it. Then I looked for it on KZbin and found her video of this. It’s a demo, done in a room. That guitar, I thought there was a bass player. The dynamics, the expression. But the voice. And the lyrics. All together blew my mind. I cried the first time and I’ve played this 30 times today. It’s a record for me. Just unbelievable. So powerful yet so delicate. So well done in so many ways. The way the peaks are done. The reverb. That bass line drone with all the changeups and the most powerful lyrics. I can’t believe it’s been out for three years. I surf through so much music and this one eluded me. I heard the album version but this one is by far the best. Just wow. Ok, ❤ I hope you got to read this Madison. I read all 217 comments and it was so nice to see it hit others the same way. I can’t express how perfect this song is.

So amazing and coincidental I hear you play this song and then I heard it again on a series call Outer Range in the same evening. And to top it off I just acquired a rubber bridge guitar. Looks like the first song I’m learning on it will be your rendition. Thank you so much for sharing this song and your amazing vocals and talent.

Amazing voice which I first heard with Phil Wickham, couldn't get enough. Her lyrics, singing and huge gift with the guitar are beautiful. Why isn't she famous? Maybe she is! Love the harmoney!
