i was getting so so frustrated after watching 3 videos how to do this. this is the one that finally got me how to do it. now both my maison mihara yasuhiro's are tied with this technique thanks to yr video 👟 all these other vids that have hundreds of thousands or millions of views with unclear instructions is disgraceful. idk why this one isn't the first result

Thank you for awesome method and explanations. In Iran we use Saffron for taste and colour. Saffron is extensive but you don't need much plus is very healthy. Thanks once again.

I have an complete set of silverware in a velvet huge box I have it all ladles large forks what do you see I can do with them make bracelets ? Large ones
@victordoes3 жыл бұрын
Try searching for "fork pendent" and you might get some ideas. There is some nice animal variations. Depending on the bracelet size needed a fork might be to small. Maby some leather straps can do the trick then.

Hey, how coarse/fine should the file be and what material should the mandrel be made of? :)
@victordoes3 жыл бұрын
The file where a standard one from the hardwear store wood/metall (nothing fancy), and a mandril is often made of steel:) but if you have a wood shaft in the right size that will work for some rings as well!

Could you tell me what kind of pliers you used the red ones to actually cut the spoon from the handle? I’m trying to figure out how to cut it without it being super hard
@victordoes3 жыл бұрын
It where a regular pair of cable pliers. But the spoons where quite soft! For example stainless steel will not work with thous pliers (if it is even bendable with home tools).

Hi, thank you for the video. I’ve got all the tools I need but I can’t seem to get the ring. I’m using stainless steel cutlery which I think is too hard, what would you suggest using instead? Thank you!
@victordoes4 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yhea, stainless steel it quite hard to work with basic tools. I whent to a thrift shop and slightly felt if the spoons where soft or not. You do not need to bend it, just fel if it wiggles slightly. If you are relaly lucky you might find a silver spoon. But there is many silver hunters out there. Good luck! :)

Wold be helpful to know how you may have soldered your ring ends together and what you may have used to do it these things are important if not critical to this process, I by no means want to be a critic just could like to see how to make a finished product. Thank you in advanced

I’m having trouble bending the spoon perfectly over the mandrel, it has gaps and the spoon seems almost too hard to shape
@221b-Maker-Street2 жыл бұрын
It’s probably not solid silver, then. Sounds like you’re maybe trying to bend stainless steel that’s silver-plated? If so, that’s hard work. 🥴

...first of all...it's not as easy as the video made it look...he didn't show you how to measure for the ring size and where to measure...there are so many variables...you just can't say I want to make a size 8 ring by using the mandrel...the size 8 may not fit the person...once you cut it to length...you can't make it longer...smaller yes...I don't know what kind of spoon he used...he bent it with his hands and then hammered it...how do I know all this...because I make some pretty awesome rings...I use the same tools he did with just one more...a one ton arbor press and wooden molds I made...anyone can make them molds...I prefer to make them wrap around so they can be made smaller or larger...if you don't want a wrap around...you adjust it to the persons finger and cut off the access...I started just like this video said...I banged on that spoon for an hour...all I got was a bent spoon...but now it takes me about 10 to 15 min to make a ring...longer because I polish the heck out of it...NO...I don't make videos...thank you Victor...but he Does...Victor Does...you need to look at many videos from other people and pick out the techniques you can use...have fun...again...thank you Victor...

For correct spoon type, watch 0.22. The ring is an open type and is there for not needed to be exact due to you can change the size. :)
