this drill begs the question... how can you do it with 5 players (to make it more game-like)? I am also thinking that the ball should be taken out of bounds after it goes in so that the players get in the habit of inbounding quickly and starting a fastbreak after the break.

My all time favorite drill. in 96' we ran it on my 8th grade team but I never saw it before or since until now.

the drill is nice but their slides are terrible and the coach isn't even fixing it. Their feet are coming so close together on these slides that they are begging to get crossed over. "slides" are bad fundamentals anyway, they should be in more of a push jump technique (you know like any NBA or professional player plays defense) this is much better defensive technique. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6rHY6KwmNWcrck

Never shows the reverse and what the cutters do if not open. I assume one guy stays middle and the other finished out the other side if it gets swung back to inbounder

What is the approach if 11 on the defense cheats up and comes to take away the 5. Now the numbers are equal with 4 from each team. Even more so, what is the approach if the defensive player guarding the inbound decides to back off and takes away the 5
@reedickyaluss11 ай бұрын
if 4 on 4 occurs, you need both pairs sceening and rolling up for each other.

It's called the "SOS defensive system" this is different terminology but the exact same thing just google it and you will find where to purchase the book and dvd or instant video

This is not the SOS. The SOS defense is by Coach Bob Kloppenburg.

Basically the center shadows the ball and you have slasher that has free well. I find motion offenses can be confusing for 2nd 3rd graders. We just have a couple set plays and we play defense run the fast break. Play a high 2-3 zone if they have a full court press rule.

Always low iq players and coaches talking carry. A ref will hardly ever call it since there hands never go under the ball and they dont look like they're gripping it. Maybe a aau ref with little IQ
@sergeant78913 жыл бұрын
Some of them was Carrie's but that's because the players were messing up, you have to almost pivot around the ball and not bring the ball around. But still most of it was good
