Im ever the optomist..WHEN Robin gets his ticket to the HOF, I will make a road trip to Goshen to see it in person..an honor that is way late in coming...

Mark...Thank you for the vote of confidence!! However, I don't see that one coming. I would pay for you to be there if I was that fortunate. On the other hand, I do think I have done enough to be elected into the California Harness Racing Hall of Fame. I am going to announce the thoroughbred's this summer at Presque Isle Downs starting on May 14th. Just want to show everyone that a late 60 something still has it!!! LOL Regards Robin

Robin Burns I will make it up there to hear you live, rather than by MEMOREX...I now have something to look forward to, rather than the odd drive on a 40-1shot at Northfield...

Robin had a soft spot for Shelly when it came to his race calls...being in the booth when Shelly went down took a long time to get over...Robin was a great race caller who never really got his due....

Robin Burns Robin...Im one of a small number that remembers your call of "and here comes Native Hunter blowing by EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!...35+ years later, it is still one of my favorite race calls in the business.....

Hi Mark: Hard to imagine that was 36 years ago. I remember getting the job at Hollywood Park when I was 24, taking the place of the great Roy Shudt. Those were the days!!! Regards. RB

Robin Burns we got to find out if ANYONE has a copy of your A.L.Weeks call from HoPark...it deserves to be preserved for all to enjoy...

Hi Mark: I still have a pretty good memory, but yours must be great as I don't remember A.L. Weeks. LOL I would like to know, as well, if anyone could post some Western Harness at Hollywood Park races from 1974 to 1981. I do remember so vividly Dream of Glory in the Pacific Trot and American Trotting Classic in 1974. That was some race horse!!! And, a big thanks to "Harness Dom" for all his hard work. Best as always... Robin

And to think at the time this was the track record at 1:52 4/5. Three years later, Nihilator would pace the first-ever sub-1:50 mile in a race on that year's Hambletonian card.

One of the most talent-laden editions of the APC put on video..half of the field was California- Based and all were legitimate FFA Pacers at the time...Oh yes, as always, Robin Burns at the mike had all of the descriptives in order for this dash....

Mark Rocovich Agreed very talented field of pacers, most where from the same crop as Niatross, and many went on to successful stud careers, none was equal to Niatross on the racetrack and the Farringtons should have slowed down with Willie as he was not the same at this point in his career.

Rambling Willie was in here at 11 years old. Overmatched.

Agreed..the APC was one of the few FFA races that Willie never won, along with the Provincial Cup..Bob tried to win it earlier with Easy Prom and Dancing David(after his purchase from Charlie Goins), but he never got it done...However, Bob made the highest claim in Windsor Raceway history by claiming Noble Dee for the impressive price of $32,500.00CDN...

Teddy..its unfortunate that onthe tape no mention was made of the fact that Eddie Cobb trained both Genghis Khan AND his dam, Robin Dundee, on of the toughest Down Under mares to look thru a bridle...

Funniest thing to me about Genghis Khan was the fact he showed up in early 1984 in a 1981 running line of J Z Leader at Yonkers. It's a race I remember because that race led me on what was an unusually warm February night in 1984 to head to The Meadowlands and bet J Z Leader at 9-1 where aided by an accident behind him he won easily.
