Can you tell me the current state of the game? Im interested in the sequel but i also have CS1 (with most DLCs), should i finally pull the trigger or wait more?

It depends on your PC and screen resolution. You need quite a gaming rig for this game to run at decent fps. Other than performance there has been patches (big and small) to fix bugs and gameplay, but I would recommend to wait until winter, for more patches and discount.

Could you do a similar video, but this time focused on reducing GPU usage? Mine tends to get maxed out, causing the fan to kick in like a jet engine in the process. It would be good if I could reduce it while minimising the impact on the graphics.

Good idea. I may have a look at that. Meanwhile just from the top of my head try to lower the Maximum frame latency.

for me on my rtx 2070 plus its lot better,no flickering anymore in buildings and speedboost .i think depent of computer and pc. for me a big thumb up this update.

Check your graphics settings if you are using dynamic resolution, AMD CAS or TAA. If even DLSS is blurry for you, turn it off and use SMAA instead.

If you have Upscaler (DLSS) turned on then Dynamic res and Anti-aliasing are grayed out. But in that case you don't need Dynamic res. Use DLSS quality instead.

It because TAA (AMD CAS) is broken in this patch. Hope they fix it soon.

That heavily depends on your hardware, but mostly no. The FPS is not consistent. You would have to have really expensive PC.

You are right, it is impossible. The developers stated that their performance target is 30 FPS and they admitted that they failed to achieve it.

Thank you very much mate. My bet is that console release will be bad and it's gonna run 25ish FPS on mixed graphics setting between high and medium presets.

It can run smooth 60 fps if you tweak graphics settings instead of using preset. I did it myself.

Do you mean if its better than Cities Skylines 1? I would say no, because I consider it unplayable. This game in this state is terribly unfinished and unoptimized. It misses DLSS and FSR and I think it needs a year of hard work (patches).
