Jeu très agréable. Mais beaucoup trop de grimaces. Dommage

National but not nationalist, folksy but not troubadour, jazzy but not swinging, atonal but not 12 tones, Bartok is a landmark of universality in the century of musical modernity (i.e. 20th century and especially its first half). His string quartets are tours de force as well as masterclasses for both performers and listeners...

This is very nice music by which to study statistics. It captures the experience since I find maths challenging.

Given Bartok's nationalistic sentiments, one should now expect an interpretation from the Victor Orban String Quartet (with coughing strongly forbidden). But jokes, apart, this is a beautiful and powerful version of a great work. I'm sure I will listen to it tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow...

I’d love to go on a blind date and when I ask “what kind of of music do you like?” they reply “oh, well I like all sorts, but John Cage’s Concerto for orchestra and piano, and Bartok’s string quartets”, for a moment it might make me feel less alone in the world

Electrifying. I've heard good recordings of the quartet but this one is in a class of its own.

Great playing! I'm just he used the music, especially after hearing him play all of the unaccompanied Bach at the Moscow Conservatory. Still, love Baráti!

so many mechanical performances of this lovely concerto.... finally a pianist who can not only play the piano, he can also play music!!!

This is an outstanding performance of this magnificent work. I feel like the third, fourth, and fifth movements present enormous challenges for players, not only technically but musically. Can they "pull off" the highly complex mood shifts? These guys can!!
@slateflash3 жыл бұрын
The 3rd movement subdivision is inhumane. And of course the tempo changes and vertical alignment in the 5th movement, especially from the fugue to the end, are extremely difficult

This is wonderful. And I love that they're all sitting on piano benches without backs.

Without doubt Bartok's quartets are a different beast to those of Haydn and Mozart. The only way to fully appreciate this masterpiece is to see it live.

Jó lenne minél több felvételt látni, hallani Várjon Dénessel itt a KZbin-on..Sajnos élő előadásokra nem tudok elmenni, nekem és a hozzám hasonló helyzetben lévőknek marad a You Tube. Takács-Nagy Gábor nagy zenei átéléssel vezényelt mind a három részben..

This is gorgeous playing of this difficult concerto. I used to think Heifetz and Milstein played this pretty well then I heard Barati. I only wish Glazunov had orchestrated this differently - the instrumentation (and overall accompaniment) is really awkward.

Barati's Paganini recordings are fantastic. I think they are posted here on KZbin.
@violinhunter25 жыл бұрын
If you do a little research you'll find that almost all fiddle players who perform the Schumann concerto use the music. It is more unusual with this concerto but Barati has chosen to use the music.
