G'day Dave or should I say evening, enjoy your videos, I usually down load them so I can keep referencing back when I need a refreshing or things are going haywire. I have been concentrating on getting set before each throw, still get the 1's and 5's but a lot more 60's and 81's and 85's. Averages have gone up from mid 40's to low 50's. Thanks again from Aus.

Great training tips but you didn't explain in the treble 20 stacking system that phil Taylor uses if the first dart was above the wire he alway switched but in all a very good tip and exercise

Dave, aiming where the darts go, is that ok? If I throw my first in the 5 aiming a at a 20, isn’t that bad though as I’m not aiming for it. I know you said it’s tightening the darts up but I don’t get the logic. Thanks mate

Hello Dave, i nearly gave up on your method but last night I practiced for 3 hours solid and everything started to come together. I played a couple of online games after and had a 63 average in one leg and other leg my average was 75 with a 180. So if people are starting to think that Daves way won't work just preserve and stick with it it will all come together. before yester my 3 dart average was 43 it is now 46 so things going in the right direction for me. cheers Dave.

It takes perseverance a bit of dedication and i akin it to learning a new language you can learn how to order a beer and say hello in half an hour but having a deep conversation or righting a letter is a different story altogether. Eg having a quick go you may only light the candle but if you want the flame thrower you will have to stick to it. Cheers D Dave...

12:17 Darts, golf, and bowling are exactly the same as far as you have to practice a lot and in all three sports you could play lights out one night and the very next day feel completely like a novice. One thing I did notice when you adjust to throw lower The distance between your elbow and eyeline never changed ,that stayed the same distance when you adjust up or down maybe you can do a video and touch on that subject 11:39
@rackum446 күн бұрын
I'm left-handed. When you aim, are you lining up the dart in a line to your target or are you putting the dart right on the Target and kind of covering up your target with the dart from your eye perspective?

I don't make videos but I have a tip that could help a fraction. Every once in awhile take a toothbrush and a little dish soap and wash your darts. It's always good to have a good grip and after a while the oil from your fingers will start making your dart slippery. And you will be amazed how clean they look.

New subscriber here, tried these tips from the last few videos and I whacked in a double bull and a 25 after just a few practices. So different to my regular stance which was riddled with bad habits. Played for fun all my life, 54 now. After lunch and dinner every day I play a few games of round the board. I throw 3 darts at each number, 3 at 25 and 3 at bull to finish. Set myself a goal a few years ago to beat 1000 points and I finally did it a few weeks ago with a 1051 total. I'll practice your methods from now on and see how I improve as it feels way more repeatable already. 👍🏻

Hey everybody, Hit the Subscribe button… it’s easy to forget. I’ve been following him for two months and just realized now that I didn’t subscribe. Hey dave… love the videos. Very good explanation of the throw. I play in an “a” division. (highest division is AA.) my averages are good when I practice and Bad when I play in the league. I’m sure a lot of other people get this too. I know it’s a confidence thing and pressure on myself in myself and it throws me off. (Pisses me off too.) maybe a video touching on this would be good.

Glad you're back, Dave. I also had a major setback, in June. Broken hip, emergency surgery, Chrome parts, the whole works. Can't throw darts if you can't stand up. My biggest problem now is standing solid. I tend to wobble, but I'm working on it.

Just come across the channel... On the first tip about aiming for the the flight, what if the first dart is in the wall 😂 jokes aside, got my first dart board today with some 22g Luke Littler darts, threw for about an hour or so today, have hit some treble 20's but the next is way off in the 15 or something, I understand it take a while to get better but will be watching some of your videos tomorrow before I throw some darts.

Also, I think people need to know if you're hitting low just by raising your arm up might not do it. Most of the problem is timing the release correctly

I outlined my foot with a piece of chalk, but if you're not on concrete you can use painters tape and stand where you stand to throw and bend down and outine your foot with painters tape. Do your toe and at least one side of your foot

Yep them devil's can drag you back if you let them. It usually happens when you have a falling to bits and instead of going back to basics you try new things to fix what is wrong. But it's great to hear you're back on board buddy 👍🏽

It’s a great way to throw but unfortunately it’s something I cannot do, especially the grip. Lost the top of my index finger long ago so I need and extra finger on the point. I’m massively left eye dominant to and right handed, my pull back always navigates to my left eye.

@flaron3529 күн бұрын
switched my stance yesterday and set throwing arm as you taught Dave. Practiced for 45 minutes and sucked. This morning, all together different story, was hitting triple, double and single 20's pretty consistent, although still some errant throws. Still working on follow through. There are a couple guys at the pub, who stand as though they were talking to the board, aim and throw and are pretty damn good, especially consistent hitting bulls. Guess their hand ey coordination is spot on.
@DynamiteDaveLlewellyn9 күн бұрын
@flaron352 well yes and no their way of throwing is their way and if it works all well and good till it doesn't anymore and believe me that day will come. Standing straight on allows wibbly wobbly in your throw and that sooner or later will destroy your throw and unlike the DD wayputting it right will be a long and possibly endless road... D Dave...
